I recently watched this anime because I'm a crazed romantic. I watched the first episode and liked it. I wanted another episode and liked it more. And I watched another episode, and about 6 or so hours later figured out I loved it. The main reason is because I finished it in this amount of time. I admit I lost track of time watching and didn't notice until after it the last episode. What do I have to say? It's got an epic story line. I thought the part before the ending was cheesy (Gotta watch it to see it! :P ) but the end ... did make me cry and for me to cry after watching anime is rare. I wouldn't call it a "WTF Ending" but more like a "Quick Stab in the chest" ending. If you like romance, action, rock music, guns, and fighting; this is the anime for you!

One thing you will always seen in my anime to describe most of my anime is "Out of all the anime I have seen" and this anime is no different. Out of every anime I have seen, this one has got to be my all time favorites. After watching the complete series, It made me start to think differently about things and how the human nature can be predicting if you take a step back and watch. This anime does have it's high points as well as low. It shows that even with special powers and brainpower, you can still be defeated. And the last ... episode in the entire series (Not just talking about this one I am writing a review on) it really brings out the "WTF just happened?" emotion out of you. Can not say to much without spoiling it but be careful not to throw your desk to far while flipping it.

So this anime is very unique to me due to it's nature. For one, it was one of the first anime I have ever watched. Second, the art style in it is very different from most anime I have seen (Which I am talking about how the girls are animated.) With that last statement being stated, if you get into this anime, do not expect the same art style to be used in the second addition to the Gunslinger Girl anime. With that part out of the way, the story line for me, is very complex. Of course when I first seen it, I was ... a little kid and only like guns, anime girls, and killing. However, the second time I have seen this anime, I got more involved in the story line. I understood the start of this anime and what exactly was going on, but towards the end (but not completely at the end) it took on another form that made me question the first part of the story line. Doesn't mean it's bad but it did make me kind of relate to the characters and their feelings. And of course, after every good anime I watch, I always have those tears. But for the ending of this anime, it wasn't just tears because it was ending, it was tears because of how it ended.

So I had to watch this anime when my parent was asleep because of the nature of it. I liked the art in it but the main character in it was, how do I say? Over outgoing for her goal, which is to expect from most anime. (The main character making a goal and attempting to complete it) The last episode did come as a shock but as I watched this anime I got the "Called it" feeling because during me watching it, I pretty much expected the ending to turn out the way it did.
