I feel this article brings up most of the points which make me love this show as much as I do and it's a good read. It's the most intelligent article on or about an anime that I've ever read, and highlights what I love about season 3 without giving any direct spoilers (though it does describe the entire plot, and basically tells you what happens in season 3 - so I guess that's a spoiler - but it needs to in order to hold the discussion it does). Ok so I may just be exaggerating due to after show hype like I normally do but OOOOOMMMGGGGG The World God Only Knows season 3 is great!!! Read all my comments for them. But like wow it somehow turns into a love story/tear jerker as good as the classics. I don't know how it did it but season 3 is officially the greatest harem series of all time. It took the very good series of The World God Only Knows and turned it into greatness with its finale/final season.
Im so serious that it's even replaced Oreimo on my favorites list. That's right you heard correct! I'm now officially more inclined to recommend this show over Oreimo, due to no incest, a better premise and a much better story and ending. Oreimo still has better gags and drama though. Still, the finale of The World God Only Knows matches Oreimo's most dramatic moments and for that it replaces it overall as my favorite harem Series not even joking. HIGHLY RECOMMEND with no drawbacks or hesitation. I'm so high off that show right now man I watched the whole last season in a day of thrilling feels.
hahahah yea IKR that was a solid last episode, so pumping. That fight was like wow wow so good and meaty haha! Erwin is bratha's man I'm telling you, he's just so hardcore that it seems like he's crazy/evil but he's the man with the plan. You're so right about Eren's dad injecting all those people when doing his rounds, because during Annie's flashback their house seemed to be in a foresty area just like Mikasa's (aka lone house that he can experiment on just like Mikasa's family). That setting totally fits his MO and I'm expecting Titan Mikasa (or something to explain her strength) next season.
If you haven't seen my MAL already I watched Redline.....HOOOO BOIIIIIII that was so awesome the dub was fricken amaze (the main character was Patrick Seitz who is coming to Armageddon). ALso I've started alot of this seasons anime and man it's looking like an all round good season. You should watch Kill la Kill, if you haven't heard it's basically a cross between Gurran Lagann and FLCL no joke (I saw the first episode and like what the hell hahahahhahahah). Right up your alley of ridiculoussness go watch it
Just finished watching Pacfic Rim, man we totally should have seen that in the cinemas man!!! It actually totally was like Evangelion (at least the mecha action side of it) and it was really awesome and meaty and epic! Y U HESITATE.
Also the Fate Stay Night remake is confirmed Heaven's Feel
I think it's because the execution just...works in the manga. Whereas I had problems with it in the anime(could be a personal thing, as I warmed up to it towards the end of the anime)
I look back at the anime's part of the manga storyline and LAUGH because the manga gets so damn good right after the anime (typical "read the manga" comment right there, but true nonetheless). I didn't reread what I had already seen in the anime so I don't know if they did it better all I know is that I love love love what happens after. It never failed to absolutely shock me every once in awhile, and it's whole "it tries to do everything" problem stopped being a problem and became an asset, as it managaed to pull off the deep/heartbreaking/intense moments SO WELL and you began to just love the silly anime/manga/chibi moments that it all just worked in my opinion. Seriously though the amount of times my jaw hit the floor, plus the amazing visuals, huge chapters, some of the best characters I've ever seen in one setting interacting with each other, and a steady storyline that 180's on you without feeling like a cheap gimmick for more running time (very important these days) and feels like it was meant to be from the start, meant that I had to give it a 10 for being the best damn manga reading experience I've ever had. That's why I said "subject to change in the future" as I read more and get a good idea of the standard.
Reading the no. 1 manga Berserk will hopefully give me that standard haha. Though yea I'm powering through it (chapter 63 already) but idk what's up whether it's the provider I'm reading it through or what but the chapters are totally out of order (seems like) and the translation is almost as bad as Elfen Lied's. But yea like something major will happen and I go to the next chapter and suddenly it's a year later and I'm like wtf happened and then there's like 5 chapters in a row about that story (so I accept we're moving on) and then something major happens and I'm like ok and go the next chapter and suddenly it continues right after the cliffhanger a year ago but now there's a cliffhanger in the future and then eventually it all sorts itself out chronologically but plays the entire 5 chapter sequence again even though I've already read it. So even though I'm up to chapter 63 I've only really read 43 of them (ish) as at least 20 of them are just repeat chapters that were completely out of order. Initially I thought it was a narrative technique to jump over the timezone but with the repeat chapters and the amount of times it's happening and how no matter how hard I think I can't figure out why someone would do that I'm beginning to think it's just the manga screwing up and messing up/repeating the chapters. Because seriously wtf.
But yea Guts is an asshole but I realize now he's the perfect protagonist for that world, as any other type of person just wouldn't make it/it wouldn't be as interesting. he's definitely the perfect protagonist for that world so I've made peace with his actions and all the killing lol.
Hahahha bro I have that exact problem with it too, I've already begun to store up episodes, about 2 weeks ago I stopped because it's too frustrating to watch one ep at a time. I think the moment I snapped was when they spent an entire episode under that evaporating titan and they were all like "it's gonna evaporate in 3mins" and 15mins later they're still there having random flashbacks etc etc and argg idk it just annoyed me.
In other news I finished the Pandora Hearts manga (up to date more like) and WOW it's amazing, I read until 5am during the climax because I just couldn't put it down haha. And I've started the Berserk manga, tho I'm 10 chapters in and SUPER CONFUSED as to what the hell is going on. I'm sure it jumped around at least 3 different timezones without properly introducing anything. That, and Gutts is an ASSHOOOLE haha so far at least

nope, 37 chapters of Secret Avengers. From 2010 to Feb 2013 hahah it's awesome. Oh and I saw the first episode of the new Avengers cartoon "Avengers Assemble". Gotta say not liking the looks of it atm
soooo...I may have just bought $37 worth of Comics from my comic app. The Secret Avengers series was $1 per chapter so I just went and bought the whole series. Looking forward to it XD
Ahh yes but HBO are the same people that do Game of Thrones and Boardwalk Empire and all the other intensely popular and mature shows out there. As far as TV series go they are the best quality so if anyone was going to do it right it'd be them. Plus, Guillermo Del Toronto man!!! And has any anime been hollywoodified before??? This is uncharted history and the creator of monster is extremely close with the project just like George R.R Martin is with GoT so you know it's going to be exactly how it's supposed to be.
And haha come on man just think Carnival Phantasm. Lol Shirou is perfect for this type of show (just like Carnival Phantasm) because he's such an idiot that only silly idiotic situations like these work for him. This is good news
