For me, a 5 is the grade I give for "enjoyable, but pretty much forgettable".
Increasing points are given for things that are well done in the course of the series that make it resonate well with me, be it artistic merit, technical competence or fanservicey pandering, basically whatever it aims to satisfy the viewer with. This will then contribute to my willingness to overlook the series' flaws aka how much I love the show. And of course conversely there's the other end of the point system for the hate scale.

Ah, when I said "work" I meant schoolwork, but yeah...
Mm, the opinion of ovas/movies being the preferred format certainly does seem favorable to many. Though, I think it'll be a while before all these shows move on since we still get a whole slew of stuff airing weekly each season, even if a lot of them are bit....uninteresting, at least to my interests.
The meganekko is indeed very cute :3 Hm, what did you think of last week's episode? Not sure what to think of the crazy maniac slasher girl. I don't think she's a character that was already introduced in the earlier episodes. I dunno what to think of some potential "rivalry" between her and the headless chick. Hm, how large is the spoiler about the main dude? Part of me wants to know what it's about but another wants me to be fresh without crazy spoilers when watching this (much unlike when I watch Gundam lol).
Oof, started off with SEED, eh? Well, can't really blame you. I started with Wing on Toonami and then had a long Gundam hiatus until one of my friends got me to watch SEED/Destiny which I really digged back in the day. It was a while after that that I watched any other Gundam though, so I guess I wasn't fresh out of SEED. And yeah, gotta love that HD quality.
Ooh, ACE, I love that series. I actually have ACE 2 and 3 (though I play 3 more...) on my PS2. Good stuff, especially when playing with a friend.
I haven't been keeping up with the Nanoha mangas even though I said I would, lol. The old cast is coming back, eh? That sounds interesting to say the least. Man, Nanoha's one of those franchises I just can't stop liking. Guess I'll hit up the manga after a few more chapters are released and start back from the beginning since I forgot everything that was happening anyway. And yeah...Vivid...still the same usual magical girl stuff? :o
Those figures look glorious. They go for a hefty price, right? I recall that Nanoha figure being over 100 USD on Hobby Link Japan. And yesh, Charkiha. :P Rather humorous images of Akiha I found once on /jp/. Reminds me slightly of that one of Asuka from EVA SIEG'ing ZEON.
Also...I've heard the latest episodes of Railgun haven't been that great and that it seems to be a lot of stupid filler stuff? At least, that's what my disappointed friend has been telling me. I haven't started watching it yet...

You know me well enough that i don't need to mention the Macross Plus scene :3. & i've already seen the first two OP's, though it's an excuse to go watch them again!
Hanamaru Youchien is quite the gem of the series. It's easily the most adorable show i've seen in a long time, and at the same time has rather special writing. You should see how the love triangle is handled. :3

I need to learn to do such. If I worked as much as I should during the week I could have most weekends to non-school related junk. Hehe
I'm really hoping Unicorn is successful, at least in Japan. No clue how it'll do overseas though. I like the OVA/movie format myself, considering the higher production values that come out of those. I'd rather prefer a cleaner, more concise production with great visuals to the weekly junk they'd put out instead.
Haha yeah I never really understood the KiraLacus couple. Most of the "romance" presumably happened in the two years between SEED and Destiny? Or something like that. Kira and Fllay had more actual romance than Kira and Lacus ever did.
I think Durarara needs to decide if it wants to focus on those three characters or not (can't remember the names, but basically the main guy, his friend, and the meganekko). It sort of focuses on them but not entirely. Personally I think it'd be great if it did. The stuff about the headless woman are okay but I hope they don't give it too much more focus than they already did in the latest episode. And yeah, I really get the feel that the staff is almost exactly the same as the one that worked on Baccano.
Oh, you're rewatching Zeta? Good to see. I've had the Blue-Rays downloaded for a while now. One day in the hopefully near future I'll sit down and re-re-rewatch it all in HD glory.

Mm, I really do hope they don't do another Gundam series like they did Gundam 00 (or even Code Geass for that matter). Breaking it up into two seasons like that doesn't seem to work out well in terms of story direction from the producers' part.
As for Gundam romances, I have this feeling KiraxLacus is pretty popular in Japan for whatever reasons; its hard for me to comprehend the Japan's tastes sometimes, what with them loving Seed Destiny.
I've never been much of a manger reader myself but I never fathomed they had such manga around. That actually sounds pretty interesting, in a somewhat amusing way. Manga that teaches school material? For some reason I think I recall hearing/seeing that somewhere in the past.
What do you think of Durarara! so far? I finally got around to watching and catching up with it. I don't think its terribly good but I'm enjoying it fairly. The art, direction, and music all seem promising. Baccano! was a great show so I'm hoping this is as well. Btw, is it slated to be a 12/13 episode series or ~25?

Indeed. The amount of times i've heard people over the past few days say that this OVA is what they wanted for a second season. It's truly understandable like we've both said, and i can't wait for the rest of the episode. Sure we know what happens, though it's the road to seeing it happening. One thing is for sure now, and that is we can understand the state and attitude Hei had in the second season. Poor guy.
& that's cool. Second episode airs on the 08th of this month, and then the third on the 08th of March. So you've got plenty of time.

Yeah i didn't take much notice while watching the second season (apart from all the techno and UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ). It was when the soundtrack was released that i found myself more attached to it. I guess i should rewatch the second season, and see what i make of it, though not until after the OVA's have finished.
So you're gonna check out Katanagatari? Awesome. Can't wait to hear what you have to say about it.

Yeah the shippers went wild, and i seriously can't blame them. Even i was joining in at one point with the amount of holding hand fanservice. Also i was really pleased with the score from the second season being used. I found that it fit in place a lot more then the second season, which is really strange.

What did you think of the first Darker than Black OVA? Personally i enjoyed it more then the whole of second season. It was classic DtB with so much Yin service. I loved it.

I read a lot of spoilers back when it was in the cinemas, so yeah i know what to expect. Can't wait to see the end. Will hopefully watch it tomorrow.
I really like the first episode of Katanagatari. Visuals it's stunning, and the writing is very charming. If you're going to check it out, then i must let you know that there is a lot, and i mean a lot of dialogue. Not a bad thing at all, especially seeing as though it's an epic introduction episode.

Yeah i know what you mean, i'm like that when rewatching shows. Wouldn't mind checking out the blu-ray's, though the Baccano boxset that i ordered arrived yesterday, so plan to rewatch that first.
