Hola person that I talked to briefly a couple of months ago. Sorry for suddenly disappearing, but now I'm actually planning to use the site more frequently... again. So along with that comes with starting up conversations again.

How are you doing? Could come up with a better more interesting question, but that one usually does it okay.
MyProfileIsGreat Jul 30, 2010 12:47 PM
H-How can you not be a fan of giant robots? They're giant and they're robots. Two things that are 'epic' together in one package. I'm sure if you got to ride in one you'd change your mind.

And yes, I'm a huge LOTR nerd. Well, of the movies anyways. I'll admit that I've never really been a devoted Tolkien follower, even if he did deliver some of the most ambitious and impressive fantasy writings of our time. The movies were really my introduction to Middle-Earth, so I have a hard time accepting anything else. Which sounds strange, but you know... it is what it is.

Ahh, sweet. Once I get some actual cash on me, I'll make sure to plop it down for a copy then. The fanboys are at arms about whether it is really a worthy sequel or not, but that sort of thing always seems to happen with the release of something that has been hotly anticipated.

Ain't no shame in having a plushie. I've got numerous figurines and collectibles. Mind you, I don't sleep with them, but I would if I had a plushie. Too bad all of the Nagato plushies that I've seen were rather ugly. That made me a sad panda.

Battle for Middle-Earth is one I did end up getting into, but that was mostly because I was such a huge Lord of the Rings fan at the time. Still am. Just not quite as obsessive. Thinking about possibly giving Starcraft II a spin, after hearing so much about it.

Resistance most certainly is not incredible, at least from what I've played of Resistance 2. It is fun, but it isn't really the 'killer-app' that some fans make it out to be. I've heard that is more what Killzone 2 is about, but I've yet to take a gander at it. The graphics are soooo pretty though. They nearly make my brain melt.

So tell me, do you like giant robots? XD

Oh yeah, I will admit that I am. Not horribly to the point where I can't function in reality or anything, but... I'm a bit of a fanboy. I've got my Rei Ayanami and Asuka posters in my room. Some may call them weird, I call them awesome, so whatever. It works.

Right now I'm really into Resistance 2 and Super Street Fighter IV. I used to be really into Final Fantasy and that sort of thing, but I've kind of been falling out of it lately. Persona 3 and Persona 4 are the only real RPGs that I've been consistently revisiting. I love those games so much.

I consider my tastes in video games to be pretty broad for the most part, though I don't usually like strategy, sports, or puzzle games. Besides that, I'm open to play just about anything.

I love how long a conversation can be maintained merely on the notion of anime girls.

Anywho, let us change gears. Are you into video games?
MyProfileIsGreat Jul 27, 2010 5:31 PM
Well, she is rather hot. All the girls from that series are, honestly. Well... with the exception of Kyon's sister for very obvious reasons.
MyProfileIsGreat Jul 27, 2010 4:36 PM
I have a soft spot for both, so I suppose it works out. I've always just loved me some Nagato for some reason. The quiet type is always the best in my eyes.

B-b-b-but it has a long-haired Yuki! That's gotta count for something.
Kanade-chan Jul 26, 2010 9:27 PM
lol. it's like always very funny ^^
Florete Jul 21, 2010 2:26 PM
I'll be sure to respond this time!

I don't know if I'd say I have "better" standards, I've just seen a lot more, including the other stuff from this specific company, so I have more to compare it to, but that's probably what you meant anyway...

Oh, Bakemonogatari. I wanted to watch that back in January but decided to wait until all the episodes were out...You know the rest.
Florete Jul 20, 2010 7:34 PM
After not initially recognizing you because of a new picture I hit the Com-to-Com button and noticed that last comment you left that I totally forgot to reply to. Sorry about that. I don't remember how that happened, though at this point it's probably too late to matter.

Anyway, as for Angel Beats! I think it was good overall, but there was definitely wasted potential. If it had been 24-26 episodes I think it could have been amazing, on par even with Key's other series. It was probably the best of the season out of what I saw, but it was a bit of a letdown coming from the company who created my two favorite series and two other, lower, favorites of mine. Still, it's good for what it is and I will likely re-watch it some time in the future.

I must also agree, the final episode was very touching and possibly the best out of all of them. I almost gave the show a 9 in the end, but I decided it had too many flaws to receive such a high score.
Kanade-chan Jul 15, 2010 10:33 PM
