I have to say, Another is one of my favorite animes. I started this with my friend last summer, and couldn't stop watching it, and I mean that almost literally.
I myself am a fan of blood and gore, which this show doesn't hesitate to provide you with. If you don't like that kind of show, then I HIGHLY suggest you stay away.
Story: The story was great and kept throwing curve balls throughout the majority of the show. Some parts were a bit predictable and even cliché, but others were completely unexpected, like the spontaneous dance scene (which I found to be hilarious). The
...
ended was one no one was expecting, or at least that's the impression I got. I can't say much without ruining the entire show, but you will be surprised to say the least.
I'd also say that the plot was unique. I haven't actually scene or heard of any other shows with a similar story line, and that's impressive. They managed to fit a complex story into 12 episodes, which can either make or break a show.
Art: It was simplistic, yet detailed at the same time (contradictory much?). I've seen similar art styles for the characters before, so I wasn't blown away by the shading or movement. The backgrounds were well made, and quite detailed in some scenes. A personal favorite example of the graphics is the opening; it represents the show well.
Sound: I loved the soundtrack for Another, so much that I've deemed it to be one of my most favorite soundtracks. I went back and searched again for many tracks from the show, downloaded them, and thoroughly enjoyed them from then on. The main theme, while it didn't fit perfectly with the show itself, was well done and enjoyable, though the backtracks were by far the most memorable. Be warned, they can be creepy (so don't make the mistake I did and listen to them in the middle of the night with all the lights off).
Character: I loved the characters, simply put. They were likable (except for Izumi, I was never really fond of her), and believable, given the circumstances that they were in. I thought each had a unique personality, and though the traits have been seen in other characters before, they had enough originality to make them, well, original, new, and a bit refreshing.
Enjoyment/Overall: I really did enjoy every minute of this show. It was unique, captivating, and moved at a great pace, for me, at least. There was nothing I had any complaints about, really; the art was good, music wasn't repetitive or obnoxious, and none of the characters were stereotypical. I do feel like they could have gone into more detail with the 'calamity', but they got all the important facts down.
In the end, I would most definitely watch another season, or more, if they decide to continue this series.

Now, I need to make this clear. I did not finish School Rumble. I tried to watch it a year or two ago, but had to drop it as it didn't hold my interest. I was, however, more into the action side of things back then, so I do plan on giving it another go.
It started off strong, and I was a fan, but I soon, as I stated in the paragraph above, lost interest. It was a very sweet anime, and fun for some, but if you're not into this genre, then I would suggest you think twice before starting this.
Once I
...
watch the show again, I will update my review to my new opinions, but for now this will have to do.

Story: The story of Kanamemo is short, sweet, and overall, quite enjoyable. The characters and very likeable and realistic. One of my personal favorite aspects of this show is that there is a girl x girl couple, but they're not there just for the sexual appeal, yuri, or fanservice aspect many other girl x girl couples are. So, kudos to you, Kanamemo. :)
Art: The art in this series wasn't anything special, really, but it was in no way an eyesore. It was your typical animation, with bright colors and soft backgrounds. While it was nice, it didn't leave any major lasting impressions on me, unlike
...
other shows, like Attack on Titan (the backgrounds), or Puella Magi Madoka Magica (also backgrounds).
Sound: A personal favorite episode of mine was episode four, where the entire cast performs several songs for the viewer, all of which I found hilarious and have since searched for again. Other than that, the soundtrack wasn't memorable, though the ending and opening were very catchy, and have earned a place on my playlist.
Character: The characters, as I touched on earlier, were very well written, likable, and memorable. The viewer can see relationships forming between each character, and each episode showed more development of the main character, Kana.
Enjoyment: This show was a nice break from all the other dramas, horrors, and generally sad shows I'd watched prior to this one. It was very sweet and innocent (to some point, considering the actions another character, Haruka, exhibits), and, if/when another season comes out, I would definitely watch it.
Overall: Kanamemo was great. It was a likable show, with likable characters, and some catchy and memorable songs. It wasn't my most favorite show, but I thoroughly enjoyed it and would waste no time in watching another season.
