This is true masterpiece!
Story revolves around a somewhat lost and depressed shoolkid who, thanks to meeting an amazing person, manages to overcome his own downsides and discover joy in life.
Story and characters.
There are many amazing characters and 2 main are shown in development. They both have very lovable personality and you just can't stop from falling in love.
Story is realistic and thought through. If you prefer stereotypical characters of shojo and action mangas this plot isn't for you.
Art and sound.
Sound is perfect, both voice acting and music. There is a lot of really well done music pieces and no cheezy "disney-like" moments. Enjoy pretty

Like:
1. character background story, 2. action scenes choreography, 3. concept of mystical world. No like: 1. Character design. Faces are too deformed even for anime, bodies look as if everyone in this country suffers from severe anorexia, 2. plain 100% predictable plot. At the same time it lacks logic a bit. Should circumstances of this anime be real, people wouldn't act this way, 3. mixed style and mismatched clothes, furniture and other objects. Series' designer didn't put effort into actually representing XIX century Great Brittain, 4. Ending. It leaves impression that authors were creating slow-paced narration for 10 series and then rushed to the end like "there's no tomorrow". Ending episodes look ... |
