Trying to bring the club back up and running again in as much as possible. I appreciate a number of you are busy with school/life etc, but it would be really nice to see you in the club once in a while :).

Hey I like your taste in literature (based off of the thread you started way back in '07, in the R.O.D. club... here...)
Anyway I figured since our tastes were so very similar, that I figured I'd go ahead and let you know I posted a reply in that thread, and if you had some more recommendations (now that you're at least 3 years older, with 3 more years to have potentially found some more awesome books) I'd love to hear them and chat with you more about favorite authors and books. ^^

Hi Mat, I'm unsure of if you remember but I asked a question for some drama recs a while back and you recommended Cross Game. So far I'm quite impressed I've watched up to date on the episodes - I was a little worried it would just be very focused on the sports side (not really being a sports fan myself apart from a fondness for tennis) but I can see there is a lot more to it than that, and even the sports side is surprisingly gripping. The characters are all really well fleshed out.

Ahhhh sorry, it sounded so urgent >.<;; (I was at my friends last night and out with some other friends today so I couldn't reply sooner!)
I havn't read the Bokurano manga! I've been intending too since I did really enjoy the anime.
The ending was actually probably the only part that let the series down as a whole, but the character development and backstory (I don't mean like a ton of flashbacks) was so effective in bringing the characters individuality to life.
It is one of my favourites, the trouble is, I know mostly the animes never measure up to the manga and having not read the manga it's a bit difficult to say whether you will find the anime to be a disappointment or not.
I did find the story itself compelling and interesting, but since you've read the manga you already understand the story, so if you plan to watch the anime to see the story come to life, then you may be left disappointed by the art and the OST was a bit forgettable (apart from the opening track, I love that song).
Well I hope this helps a bit >.<'' But I shall guess from your comment that I should hurry up and read the manga XD
