This is one of those series that leave you absorbed after its end.
I want to start this review with the construction of its world, there are very few animes that have such a complex and well-crafted background of their world and Shinsekai has both of these things.
The characters, without being so charismatic, fulfill their role more than well, they are all more than necessary for the plot.
A well-crafted script, the dialogues and scenes will not let you take your eyes off the screen, everything is so intriguing from the first episode to the last and the soundtrack accompanies the sequences very well.
The weakest section of ... the series would be the technical one, there are episodes where the low quality of animation is noticeable in contrast to other episodes, this also with the scenic art
Shinsekai Yori is a visual spectacle, without the need to use clichés to attract attention, with more than clear messages that make you think, the topic of homosexual romances is well explained and is not just there to generate morbidity.
With all that said...
Shinsekai Yori is undoubtedly one of the best series with the best construction in its world and good quality 8.5/10

General review of the 2 seasons

I will start by saying that it is one of the best romances I have seen, better than romances: Kimi ni todoke, Shigatsu, toradora, clannad, etc.
Starting with the setting, for this alone it is interesting. In the series the protagonists have complications to be together and they have their own problems, it is not a boring school romance where the protagonists lack the aforementioned things. Most of the characters matter and are necessary for the evolution of the plot and the interaction is good and not boring at all. And the drama, something that could not be missing in a ... romance series, although it does not have large doses of drama, the intervention of a character like Eleanor and all of the above said makes up for that love triangle that did not exist.

The soundtrack is according to the time and is beautiful.

About the animation it is its lowest point but for the year it was released it is fine.
I really enjoyed this series and I will not deny that I almost shed tears at the end, this series is in the same vein as Kimi ga nozumu Eien, Bokura ga i ta, Romeo x Juliet and The Rose of Versallies.

if we refer to romance series it is an 8/10
And overall it's 7/10
