Yeah, Shinji is quite the emo, but that's because he was alone by himself when he was young, making him psychological problems.

Lol nice. Well if you want an Anime with shitloads of Anime references, Gintama is the one.
Well, to me I only watched NGE mainly because of the Evangelion suit fights and Asuka. It was pretty good, although there quite a few psychological scenes that can be really weird at times, like Shinji screaming about crap. I'd say watch the films instead. And apparently the films are really good. I have yet to watch them though.

Nice, last few episodes of Toradora! are the best. Christmas episode was my favourite.
Lol, well I watched that on TV years back when it aired on Cheez TV. Only recently added it to my MAL list though. Pretty much all my dropped Anime are the Anime that I watched on TV :P
