Working'!! (Anime) add
Working!! 2 is Working!! but better in every way, even if only a little better. The animation and art improved, giving it a cleaner look. The music, especially the opening and ending, was catchier. The jokes were funnier and wittier. The character development was really solid and I appreciate how there were jokes and decisions that carried over from the previous season, like Magic Hand (although it only showed up a few times). Janet (Maya) has a lot more screentime in this season and I really appreciate that, her existence is one of the funniest bits in my opinion. The new characters are really solid ...

Working!! (Anime) add
I’m only giving this show a 10 because of a dumb joke I made about the Magic Hand bit. My favorite character was Janet (Maya). Being completely serious, this show was actually pretty solid. To quote myself, “Anime has a hard time being funny”, so it’s good to see that this comedy anime is actually kind of funny. The characters are interesting and are definitely the soul of the anime. I was surprised by the recurrence of bits from earlier in the show, which isn’t common with slice of life shows. The background music isn’t bad, despite the low track count, and the art is ...

Platinum End (Anime) add
Spoiler
I hated this so much. Honestly, the first few episodes weren't even that bad. They had some funny moments, solid animation, and an interesting premise. BUT, as the show progressed, the episodes kept getting significantly worse. The animation and artwork got worse. The music became stale. There weren't any funny moments. The actual contents of the show became boring. The dialogue was bland. The scenes ran on for long amounts of time. It genuinely became painful to watch. We had to watch it at 2x speed and skip through the show to make it through, and we still understood what was going on because the ...

Preliminary (5/12 eps)
I've been following the manga for some time now, but I think this anime really sparked my love for this series. Is it ridiculous? Yes. Does it have messed up connotations? Yes. Is it stupidly fun and enjoyable? Yes. Everything about this adaptation coalesces into a love letter to stupid harem romcoms from the girls singing in the fantastic opening to the amazing art to the phenomenal voice acting. The characters are goofy caricatures of the common harem tropes, with some out-there ideas thrown in. The main character is one of the strangest romcom protagonists in all of anime. The character designs are really good ...

"Oshi no Ko" (Manga) add
Preliminary (115/? chp)
Spoiler
So I'll admit I read all of this in the span of around 6 hours, so I'm still thinking this over a bit. I will say that I liked the beginning and some of the arcs in the middle, but the more recent chapters have fallen flat. Akasaka Aka had a very high reputation after Kaguya-sama, so coming into this I was extremely hyped, but I don't think this comes anywhere near that in execution. The recent chapters feel strung together, with odd characterization that doesn't feel consistent, awkward time skips that leave a lot of questions unanswered, inconsistency in feel with weird romance subplots, ...

Preliminary (48/? chp)
I genuinely don't understand how people can like this. At first, it wasn't terrible. It had some okay ideas, like the reversing of time by healing the world, but it didn't do much past that. Then as I got further in it just kept getting worse.

The overall plot isn't interesting at all, which I guess is because it's a revenge plot, but that doesn't mean the plot can't be interesting. The author doesn't particularly develop the main character at all, he just kinda feels the same throughout, and the side characters are only there to be part of the harem. Every possible interesting character ...
