hmm...in the way of action i would recommend to you Mai-Otome. Mai-Hime is right before that but you can watch otome before hime and not really miss anything. i like Otome better though personally. it's also for a bit of the series a mystery and it's also got romance and actions in it ^^
I also think you would rather enjoy Hell Girl ^^
but thats an anime that a lot of people tend to not like but if anything atleast give it a chance and watch a couple episodes. i promise you it is quite good ^^
would you like any more recommendations right now or are those good for right now?

i hope you like it when you get to it, it really is an amazing series in my opinion ^^
