I think I'll give a couple other parts of this franchise a shot. I heard season two has a ridiculous amount of fan service, though. So I don't know how I feel about that.

It hasn't been that bad. Gargantia and Maou-Sama have been the highlights thus far. There has also been this hilariously bad mech anime, Valverave. Not sure if you've watched it. Vampires, musicals, cheesy dialogue, oh man. This series is a goldmine.

More than three months later, and I have finally finished Bakemonogatari. I can say that yeah, I was bored at times with some of the dialogue and scenes of mostly lips moving with an occasional shot of the background, but the final arc of episodes made the journey worthwhile. I'm no closer to understanding the popularity of the series, but at least now I can say I've seen it.

Yeah, it was just horrible. I've dealt with terrible pacing before, but when literally the only necessary events to remember in an episode can be summed up in one sentence, even more so when this episode happens to be your very first, you're doing something terribly wrong. And yeah, that ending song was just horrible. I agree with the manga thing, too. I read a couple chapters to see what I was getting into, and it was much more compelling than the anime.

Actually, a lot of the series this season so far have rubbed me the entirely wrong way. I watched the first episode of Attack on Titan, and it was just okay for me. Nothing too special, but MAL seems to be taking it to SAO levels of hype, when really I haven't seen much a need for any of that yet.

I really enjoyed a lot of Psycho-Pass so far. It kind of lingered a little bit for a few episodes, not really advancing the plot in the general direction I thought it would, but right before I stopped watching it really picked up and started meeting expectations. I'm looking forward to finishing it sometime in the next few days. (:

Yeah, I think that's in my PTW, but the one I'm really looking forward to this season was Aku no Hana.

I took a small break from anime just to free up some time to do other things for a change. Coming back in time to finish off the winter season and get right into what spring has to offer.

Looking forward to finishing Psycho-Pass. It'll probably be the first thing I do.

That's good, glad you enjoyed it. Yeah, it was worth watching the movie for me because I thought the plot was better constructed, and the extra scenes were a treat as well. I haven't watched anything else by the director, but I do have a movie of his in my PTW that comes out this year that sounded pretty entertaining. Looking forward to it, for sure.

Winter has been downright disappointing for me. I'm watching a few shows, but the only entertaining ones are the series rolling over from fall that are still airing. The best anime from winter for me is Kotoura-san. That's not saying too much though.
