Wow...I can't believe this much time has passed since we last talked. I'm really sorry! I've been doing well, just busy.
Oh yeah, the Roman Empire is pretty interesting! Sadly, I haven't read a lot about it yet, each time I wanna get into it, it's kind of overwhelming lol

I guess I know how you feel, I turned 30 last year. Time really becomes the top priority, it seems. It was really...weird, realizing I'm supposed to be an adult. Once that fateful day was over though, I was very calm. The good thing is that with age, you really stop caring about unnecessarily troubling things (like age, maybe lol).

I haven't read any of his work yet! But I have to read Rose of Versailles for my MA thesis, I suppose. What kind of literature do you like? I love reading, too :)

Ah yes, it's kinda similar here - people are still mostly focused on comics, but I feel like Manga (and Anime) is getting a lot more popular, it's almost as if you could feel the popularity grow on a weekly lol

Same here haha, but it's really hard to keep up with everything, and if your time is limited, it's hard to choose what to watch lol.

I imagined the Denji's first appearance to be like a super epic panel, but what we got was actually a really small figure. The 'epic' panel was the one where he was holding the cat I think lol so it came a little later than expected, and i love how Fujimoto did that!

Do you go to conventions regularly (if they are allowed to happen...) ?

Totally feel you - it's so easy to end up starting a bunch of stuff and barely finish anything...by the time I get back to an older, finished series, I forgot what was even happening. It's not very...smart lol

I thought specifically the art was a funny choice somehow - everyone's been waiting for our boy Denji, and the first time we get to see him again just this sketch-looking, tiny-ass drawing lol the more 'epic' looking stuff was only towards the end when he saved the cat. But I think it's stylistic choices like this that make Fujimoto so appealing to me, it's just the perfect balance of really good comedy and dark stuff, whether it's in the story or art, without ever overdoing it...it's just my opinion, of course, but I feel like it's rare (I mean, it probably is, otherwise people wouldn't go crazy about it haha)

That subscription sounds like a pretty good deal! Wish I could do sth like that, but I think it's not possible outside of Japan (but you can still buy extra chapters only...costs more than the app you mentioned tho lol)

The Manga you mentioned are all still on my list, but I'm sure they're amazing. I don't think I've ever read anything by Fujimoto Tatsuki that I disliked. How do you like the new Chainsaw Man part so far? I really like it, Fujimoto's humor is so good imo.

Any especially good Manga/Anime you checked out recently?

For the competition, I had to translate 11 pages of an essay and 11 pages of a short-story. Not gonna lie, it was...a challenge haha.
When it comes to YouTube, I haven't uploaded anything since the Russian invasion began (I don't live in Ukraine, but they're rather close to us and in any case, I couldn't be focused on making videos like this as long as this was going on in Europe)

What tricks have you taught your poodle? Mine never really learned "lie down" properly. Like, he would always get
confused about "lie down" and sit, so he never really learned it properly. Every time he tried to learn "lie down",
his sit always got negatively affected so I gave up on it. xD
He's learning "stay" now, he's doing pretty good with "stay", but he's still not used to the release word tho.
I use free, for my release word.

I'd probably pick a golden for my first big dog too, tho I'm not sure if I'll be able to handle him since I have
a history of asthma. =_= I haven't tried being with a dog for a long time that's not hypoallergenic.
Samoyeds are perfect since they're large AND hypoallergenic but omg they're expensive af. At least here. xD

I think this whole notion of 9 to 5 is crazy. I understand that some people sadly don't have much of a choice when it comes to their working hours, but if you do...why not chose a bette option? It makes me feel like Americans love to suffer for their work sometimes lol

I do the same (reading while drinking coffee in the morning) although I'm not really awake in the morning, so I read lighter things. I'm a night person I guess - I really admire people who can be productive during the day. I feel like half a person during daytime, so I stopped forcing myself to do shit during the day. I think you're smart for living like that - why not? I mean if you already know these things about yourself, it's only logical to act on that knowledge, so it's not weird at all ^^

I see! The DN Manga is fantastic, to this day I think it's a masterpiece. Many things happen there that didn't happen in the Anime (especially in the second half which many people didn't like lol)
Chapter 88 is already out but I'll still have to wait a bit (idk I can never just read sth I care about without my little 'rituals' lol)
