I watch stuff besides anime, too. For example, right now I've almost finished season 4 of Stargate SG-1. A fine, fine show!
My "Favorite Characters" changes often. I try not to put in characters that are already overwhelmingly popular, and I try not to put more than one from each anime, and I try to keep it 5 or less characters. But here's a more complete list of my fave chars:

That's too bad. I always wondered what it was like to fansub one of these series. Someday, I would love to understand it at least to the point where I can watch a RAW and still understand the majority of what's going on.

Thanks for your comment. It's cool that someone is reading my blog and I'm not just wasting time.
I made flash cards of the hiragana and learned them all in sets of five (all of the H's, for example) at a time. I haven't reviewed for quite some time and have probably forgot the good majority of them. Since I've been using Rosetta Stone to learn to speak and comprehend it, writing has sort of taken back seat.
