I'll get straight to the point, Arakawa is easily my favourite comedy anime, the wacky characters, the abstract and at times confusing storyline, it has appeal to anyone who just wants to laugh for a while. Despite this comedic value, however, you sense that there is a deeper meaning to the story as you watch. The underlying theme of society's "norms" and the concept of people simply acting as they are taught, are so clearly evident in the main character as he embarks on what can only be described as a hangover of a journey.

Thoroughly enjoyed it, the story included an equal amount of hilarious comedy and intense story line. If I was to point out a fault it would be the imbalance of the comedy/seriousness ratio at points but overall, one of the best I've seen yet!
