Story: 8/10
It's not your typical romance manga but a time travel twist added to it. This makes the story quite interesting. The story has a happy ending for the main characters but sad endings for 4 side characters. Renkaku and Enji, Hachikuma and Hirono [I think I took the name right] have tragic fate. Other than that, it was mysterious and happy ending.

Art: 8/10

They are relatable and you will feel for them in case you are capable of attaching yourself to the situation.

It is built on fate at the center. I still wanted the father [Hachikuma] to tell his wife that she will die if she goes back and somehow save her. I also didn't want Renkaku to die. But it's just me as I previously had no problem with character's death in any anime/manga but after watching 'Your lie in April', every time there is death or loss of love, I feel something deep inside hurt. But oh well!

This show is a tragedy. The way the story unfolds is tragic and heart-wrenching. The show left a hole in my heart, speaking metaphorically. It also made me realize that I can still cry. Koe no Katachi put the nails on the process and this show hammered it.

Story: 10/10
It's a great story which tells you a tragic melodrama hiding behind the garb of teenage romance. It gets you attach with the character, for-shadows a tragedy, but then gives you hope that it will be alright only to destroy it at the end. The letter finally kills everything. Like I said, I am still ... depressed by this show for last two days enough to not be able to eat for one full day.

Art and animation was great to say the least.

Sound: 10/10
Considering the show revolved around music, it has few of the best melodies of all time. Chopin: Ballade #1 In G Minor will never be the same again for me as it will always bring that face of a non-existent fictional character into my mind which will still bring tears to my eyes.

Character: 10/10

I will say that the main duo were perfect. They both loved each other but never could utter it. One because for her, he was 'Friend A' who is loved by her friend, while for another, she was 'his friend's girlfriend'. It is tragic for they never could express their feelings to each other directly.

Enjoyment: 10/10
If making a person depressed was the goal of this anime, it outdid it. It may be over-hyping it but that's all I know to stop others from being depressed if they ever choose to watch it after reading this review. Make their mind and heart ready for such trauma that when it happens, it feels passable.

Overall: 10/10
A tragedy at its best. It hurts. It is a two character-reversal, where the two main characters help each other out, the first where the boy gets his colorful world back thanks to the girl and then the second where the boy gives it back to the girls when she was losing her colors. In the end, they couldn't keep their promise literary but were able to do so metaphorically. Also, it was quite sad when you realize that they both were alone at the end but were together. She was alone at that hospital dying while he alone in his music concert alone being reborn. It hurts. This tragedy is heart breaking and depressing.
