Aside from sounding like a Drake song, Wondance is a criminally underrated series that I didn't expect to be so "not popular", per se.

(Yes there is a TL;DR)

The premise is essentially about a guy with anxiety and stuttering who becomes invested in dancing because as the book states "you don't need words to express yourself" (or something along those lines). Story progresses about how you would expect.

The book itself handles these issues and traits of the main character very well--as someone with social anxiety (and I'm sure a lot of you guys as well), seeing an MC in any entertainment medium with anxiety usually results ... in enough second-hand embarassment I want to crawl in a hole and die. But I don't get that. So that's good.

That being said, it's not flawless--it has the shounen/isekai issue of an MC that develops too hard, too fast, and the scapegoat of "paying attention to small details because of anxiety" can only be used so much. I don't know too much about dancing, but I've practiced a plethora of musical instruments and it did not take 3 months to play Csardas or Clair de Lune. Mostly ignorable, but it is noticeable.

The art is very well drawn, seriously 9/10 art, which was one of the most surprising things to me (given how unknown it is), and while no character SUPER stood out it's not like we had any unlikable/dull characters either. Overall, enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would've on a manga focused on dancing.

TL;DR (I don't think it's THAT long...): Underrated manga about dancing that tackles anxiety and stuttering, great art, perfectly fine characters, will probably enjoy it more than u think u will.

I'll just say it. I'm reviewing this months after finishing the show, and I don't remember some of it. Which in itself is a bad thing, but it's a harem anime, so I think "forgettable" was a given since the beginning.

So, from what I can recall, it's about a guy who meets a bunch of cute girls and somehow someway makes them all fall for him, we've never seen this plot before, I personally would give my left knee to see something similar to this, etc.

As a tutor, your MC (because I don't remember his name nor do I care to look it up) is ... supposed to teach seven sisters about maths and sciences because all of them are apparently fucking stupid, and...and harem things happen. That's the plot. Huh.

Well, as usual with me and harem anime I didn't enjoy much of it, and nothing really stood out to me (most of the girls were very stereotypical -dere types, not something I really care about) EXCEPT the art and little tidbits.

For a story of this quality, The Quintessential Quintuplets (god that title is annoying to spell) has NO right being this well animated. The style of the little reactions and well animated and drawn cutscenes highly remind me of Kaguya-sama S1, although that came later, which means Kaguya would have to be drawn off this instead, but the baseline is that this anime is way too well drawn for a plot like this. The side reactions, the effects, and clearly just the animations put it above other harem anime as it's actually well-drawn instead of a choppy or emotionless slide that are a feature in other harems.

Is there anything else about it that's worth watching? In my opinion, not really. "BuT tHeRe Are WaiFus" and none of them are interesting apart from their external appearance. There's nothing that separates them from the other tropes, except for headphones.

Final verdict: 4 artistic talents/10

Let's talk about this song.

"How to Eat Life", as I don't speak Japanese (sorry), is my favorite Eve song. Period. Perhaps it's because it's a, well, "new Eve song", and I'm just getting overhyped about this song, but everything about this song is so...good.

The original version on his Smile album was a perhaps mediocre song, with bland risers and an overcrowding snare that made for a rather mess of a song. However, the MV version is simply hooolyyy garbage, WOW. Multiple changes just turn this song into a masterpiece to listen to, and I love it so much.

Let's get on with the actual review.

As ... all other Eve MV's, there is no defined "story", there is only a sequence of intriguing events, and the meaning is for you to decipher for yourself. There is a bunch of battling and sh*t however, which...don't really add much, it's just cool.

On another note, this MV was created and animated by ONE PERSON. And it looks AMAZING. HOO BOY. I seriously recommend checking out Mariyasu. Phenomenal job.

The sound--mm, if I wasn't clear before, I love this song. Again, the Spotify version isn't something I'd really vibe to, but THIS? Downloaded as an MP3, saved as a local file, added to every playlist. The cutoff at the beginning, the choice to go for a silence instead of a riser, the one-hit snare before the drop, and the choice for clean-cut hi-hats instead of the overwhelming snare elevate this song SO MUCH.

Skipping character. Not much to say. He seems pretty cool though. Kicked an elevator.

Overall, this MV was a masterpiece to watch and listen to. I highly recommend anyone to check it out right now.

I'm not sure why Eve's songs continue to have low ratings, I don't know if people are trolling (if you are, you are an honest to god sick person), but "We're Still Underground" is in my opinion his most gorgeous music video to date (although raison d'etre and Heart Forecast look stellar too).

Story - The story is confusing and brings up questions, in a good way. No dialogue is shared between any of our characters, because *it's a music video*, but the post-dystopian world, the different metaphors and references throughout, and the thoughtfulness put up throughout is beautifully done.

Art - Beautiful. Absolutely gorgeous. I would ... estimate better than 99% of all anime? 99.5%?

Sound - THIS SONG IS A BOP. The wonderful mixing and blending of instruments paired with Eve's boyish voice is....good. Very good.

Character - not much to say as there really isn't any.

Enjoyment - Absolute blast. The first time you watch you will be absolutely blown away by the art, the music, and how well they pair together.

Overall - 10/please eve animators have families too

Let me say this much: Shelter isn't an anime.
Yes, yes, we are diehard weebs and they even made it with A-1 Pictures! But no, Shelter is a *music video*, so attempting to raise a 6 minute long YouTube video to the same standards as fully-fledged anime is for lack of better words stupid and careless. So this Shelter review will be judged as an anime music video, and not a 12 episode, 24-minute each series.

STORY - If I had to be honest, Shelter has a relatively generic plot, but in all matters IT ACTUALLY *HAS* A STORYLINE. That's something you don't see very often ... in any music video, ever. The idea presented by an ending world is thoughtfully done, and credit where credit's due this idea was written by Porter Robinson himself, and it sticks with you.

ART - Simply put, this 6-minute long video looks better than 95% of all anime, which isn't surprising seeing as it's...6 minutes long. Still, it looks gorgeous.

SOUND - Like it or hate it, run from it, dread it, you can't deny that Shelter is damn good. Unless you're absorbed into anime where the point of music HAS to be Japanese, than sorry man, but this is Fruity Loops.

"bought ableton the next day" --not Porter Robinson

CHARACTER - There are only two characters in this entire video, Rin, the protagonist, and her dad. Rin is cute and her dad is awesome. It's 6 minutes long, I don't want to over explain anything, because in that time *maybe go watch it instead*.

ENJOYMENT - Slightly biased as I've been a fan of PR since 2014, so when I watched it (the day after it came out) needless to say I was hella hyped. It's arguably one of the best music videos ever created, and whether you choose to critique it or just enjoy it, Shelter *is* pretty fantastic.

OVERALL - My final scoring of Shelter is 10/please make it an anime.

So while I was on chapter 40 or so I noticed that the MAL rating for this manga was 7.4, which is pretty low for a manga. I was expecting more along the lines of 7.6-ish, because while this manga was nothing special (it was more or less "Nisekoi but Worse"), it was fairly light and easy to read.
And I thought to myself, "I don't think it's that bad." And then it hit me. Could it be....the ending?

Hell yeah it was the ending. As spoilers aren't really my thing, my only answer to this ending is "what the hell." Why? What? For what purpose? Why ... would you screw around at this weird ass time?

Alright, moving on. The story itself is generic and predictable as Soma winning literally everything in Food Wars. Very cheaply thought out, very basic plot you've probably seen in literally every "rom-com" anime. School, harem, tsunderes, spiky haired protagonist, transfer student--wait this isn't Nisekoi? Oops.

The art is...it's manga. What did you expect?

Characters are super generic. Conceited protagonist, bitchy tsundere, loli maid, TranSfEr STuDEnt, meaningless side characters, etc. You've seen them literally everywhere.

I enjoyed Masamune kun relatively well (I like tsunderes) up till the bull ending. I would say around 8 in general but since the ending is literally the most important part I'm going to dock two points.

Overall, it's an ok manga with a pretty wack ending. Very predictable, very generic story and characters, has tsundere so that's okay with me.

As did basically everyone, I only read this for the highschool dumpster plot. I had seen about 5 minutes of the hanime itself, so I thought it would be an interesting read as I scrolled through nhentai.

Boy was I wrong.

I understand everyone has their own fetishes, but this was too much. When you write a hanga, you establish the kind of hanga it is (I'm currently avoiding demonetization like a pro). While the fetish of "cum dumpster", "master-slave" was obviously showing the author's true colors, the story itself was "boy likes girl, girl becomes dumpster." Whatever.
Where it went wrong is when the author decided to ... go the path of satisfying his own fetishes of sex slavery. BULLSHIT. B U L L S H I T. The story began as an actually enjoyable read and turned into another BULLSHIT pointless fap material. It turned into another mindless, fetish-satisfying read.

There was no story left, just "oh yeah me like". BU LL SHIT. You turned such a promising story into some stupid material which showcases nothing but your FETISHEs. I was so disappointed my boner took a suicide jump into Limpnation for the rest of the night.

The golden rule is "If you start a hanga good, finish it good". The pointless faps are for other hanga, hanga that established "yeah we're just forgettable source material".
Disappointing as hell. 1/10.

Want to see a prequel of No Game No Life? Want to realize again that Season 2 is still never happening? Want to hate Jibril even more? Then NGNL 0 is the shet for you!

I watched half of this on Netflix and the rest on Kissanime, but apart from promoting illegal sites this movie was pretty good. It was somewhat of a letdown when I learned it was a prequel and not Season 2, but the movie delivered and ended on a powerful and somewhat promising note. The pacing of it was rather inconsistent, sometimes too fast, sometimes too slow, and sometimes "wait--what the ficudkel?" ... If you were someone who's never watched NGNL the anime, you may have wanted to leave it due to this 'interesting' plot movement.

The characters and the story itself were a big "boom". You feel yourself being attached to both Shuvi and Riku, and the prequel itself delivers as a "prequel" and doesn't screw around with the main story, instead building on it--something some prequels can't say. Better Star Wars Revenge of the Sith, maybe? Is that accurate?

However, I would like to warn that any Jibril-stans are going to go through a rough amount of emotion. No spoilers, but F!@#$%ING JIBRIL !@#$%^ING @#$%^& @#$%^&@#$%^&*@#$%^&*, to sum it up in the least. If you liked Jibril, you're going to question your girl tastes. If you didn't like her, you're going to utterly loathe her. If you hated her, you're going to want to shoot her in the head with a 12-guage shotgun. Nuff said.

This is a mediocre anime with a perhaps interesting premise bogged down by poor execution and animation. Or, to sum it up for you simpler weebs, I didn't like it.

It was extremely average to the point that it was very, very average. That made no sense. The characters were interesting with some depth to them, the concept itself was decent, but the direction and the poor handling of the anime left a lot to be desired. The idea of always "calculating this, calculating that" quickly grew old as you continued to watch it.

That said, it was still bearable to watch--you just skip a lot ... of the boring stuff. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, but if you must watch it you won't really suffer, you'll just be bored out of your mind. Think Kaguya-sama but with absolutely garbage execution. Kaguya-sama is an example of correct execution (I've used execution too much). This is not.

HAVE YOU, MY FRIEND, EVER WANTED TO SEE CUTE HIGH SCHOOL ANIME GIRLS--but in TANKS? Well look no further for a one-of-a-kind (and only-of-a-kind) anime about GIRLS AND TANKS (that's a pun btw--girls und panzer means girls and tanks).

This was not the best anime in the world. Far from it. But it did bring something unique to the table, and that's what I love about Girls und Panzer. That's right; it brought PANZERKAMPFWAGENS OF THE FINEST STEEL. The anime itself was not the greatest, but hell if I care cus I LOVED this show. We have CUTE ANIME GIRLS, we have TANKS. It's like the ... weeaboo side and our manly side mated and had a deformed baby and we got GIRLS UND PANZER, an anime about CUTE GIRLS TRYING TO KILL EACH OTHER IN TANKS (I think I said that already).

At the end of the day, Girls und Panzer will be remembered as some lackluster anime with a weird premise that only history nerds such as me indulge in. But it will not be FORGOTTEN, soldiers. THIS IS TRUE MILITARY ANIME. And honestly, I really liked it for a military anime thing. So ONWARDS LADS. KEEEP MARCHING.
