Here's an explanation of my scores. There may be exceptions, as I may add or subtract points based on specific qualities, but it gives an overall thoughts on each anime. I try to use the parabola scoring scheme - the closer something is scored to a 5, the more likely it bored me/I have forgotten my feelings toward it.
10: Unforgettably a masterpiece. Ticks every box in terms of what I love. Usually reserved for shows with a cathartic and satisfying climax that is built up amazingly well throughout the entire runtime. Not a single wasted minute of runtime.
9: Consistently amazing. Usually these shows are consistently great in almost all of its aspects (characters, story, animation, etc.) or excellent in one or two aspects, maybe even one or two scenes. I usually think about these shows regularly and can gush about them for hours. It may have one or two aspects that I dislike that keeps it from being a masterpiece
8: Enjoyably great. These shows are consistently good, but I usually only talk about it when it is mentioned. Certain aspects prevent me from remembering it as consistently as my 9s or 10s. Usually I have some complaints, though I won't mention them when reccomending it to people nor did it not affect my enjoyment as much.
7: Enjoyable. I enjoyed these shows while watching it, but I ultimately forget about it soon after finishing it. I may have some complaints about these shows that prevented me from fully enjoying the show, and I will usually mention my complaints when reccomending it to other people. However, sometimes, the show is good in many ways that can make it an 8 or 9, but it just isnt for me.
6: Fine. I will enjoy these shows somewhat while watching, but I will usually verbally mention my complaints while watching it. The flaws of the show distract me from getting fully engrossed in it, and I will ultimately forget about any feelings I have about it other than a vague sense of somewhat enjoying it.
5: Boring. Forgettable, but not bad enough that it infuriated me. May have one or two good scenes
4: Below Average. Similar to a 5, but I actively feel like I was wasting my time watching it. Will be poker faced the entire time watching, and will not remember a single scene
3: Bad. Crosses the line into me remembering it, some scenes or certain aspects of it made me angry enough that I will complain about it when speaking with others.
2: Awful. Very few redeeming qualities about the show, but I may ironically enjoy the experience when watching with other people.
1: Unforgettably atrocious: No redeeming qualities at all. May even be morally reprehensible in terms of themes, contents, or morals. The majority of the runtime must infuriate me. If a show gets this bad, I will rewatch with other people for the pure purpose of seeing their reaction
