Yeah, it's definitely a busy time of life nowadays xD I sort of feel like most of the things in my life are coming to an end during these times (friendships, personal interests, feelings, etc. i know it might have sounded stupid). i'm in a point in my life where i should work really hard or otherwise i might regret not spending my time efficiently these days. It's quite a dilemma lol. It sucks since I'm very bad at having self-control and principle. Well, I hope everything works out well for me and everyone in new year. same for u as well :DD

Yeah I do really wanna complete Invisible Man and Island of Doctor Moreau someday. Nowadays I'm reading some very underrated book called Mehmed My Hawk. It's a major piece of work of my country's literature (im turkish xD) and I weirdly got intrigued into it. Actually, I mostly prefer foreign novels to turkish literature but this book changed my mind. It has a really good story and you don't get bored at all. But I wish I can read it more oftenly however I'm always distracted by reading Usogui (its a really cool manga about gambling. i guess it will be my favorite manga once i complete it lol)

Well, I'm not too much of a reader either currently xD but i used spend most of my time reading a few years back. This year is a little busy year for me so its quite difficult to complete any book. I have also read some sci fi novels. Brave New World by Aldous Huxley was one of my favorite books. It was usually compared to 1984 on the aspect how both novels similarly take place on a dystopian story. I would say Brave New World is better since the dynamics and symbolisms between the protagonists were very impressive to me. I have some books of HG Wells like Invisible Man and Island of Dr. Moreau, but I havent finished them for years lol. Nowadays I mostly read books about philosophy. Like the works of Camus, Sartre or Popper. I also love mythology.

WAIT YOU DIDN'T LIKE UNDERTALE?!?!?!?!? ARE YOU INSANE?!?!?!? Ok I know the fanbase can be full of most toxic people but it's still one of the best games I've ever experienced. Jokes aside, I didn't enjoy Undertale during my first play at all. I probably wouldn't have continued if my friends didn't insist. But after giving it some time, I realized it was a very good game. Characters, designs, story, fighting mechanics... They are all just so great. I recommend you to return to it someday and complete it until reaching the pacifist ending (you'll have to complete the neutral ending first tho). Now that you told about it I'm even more interested on S3. I'll watch it once I'm done with the S2 and Fire Walk with Me

I have been hearing about Jacob's Ladder since childhood. I used to want to watch it, since it has Tim Robbins in it (the lead role of Shawshank Redemption). But it looked so creepy and grotesque I never could gather the courage to watch it as a child. But now that you reminded it I should add it to my list. I have noticed the similarities between SH creature designs and things from Jacob's Ladder. Recently I'm playing this RPGMaker game called Fear & Hunger. It's one of the most disturbing yet interesting games I've encountered so far. If you search for it you may also notice that it takes heavy influences from Silent Hill. Btw can you tell me more about your opinions on twin peaks S3? i'm thinking of giving the 2nd season a break but i'm also very interested on whether if S3 is worth seeing. try to avoid spoilers tho

A little while ago I watched the Barbarian. Some horror movie released last year. It was so damn great. I'm really glad that I finally got the chance of watching a good movie after a long time. I highly recommend it to you as well. Eraserhead is quite esoteric. But I don't know if I ever watch it from the start again. Yes, Lynch is one of the best. However I still couldn't really force myself to complete Eraserhead. Maybe I will watch it with some friend. But yes, I would love to watch the whole Rabbits series. It might help me have a better interpretation of Inland Empire as well. I also thought they had some relationship with Inland Empire. As Rabbits were voiced were Naomi Watts and a few more cast members, if I'm correct. There were really cool theories about it. Now I wanna check them again xD

I have watched Eraserhead, but only for like 30 minutes or something. I was so damn bored xD I might have watched one of the Rabbits videos, but I can barely remember anything about it. Scenes of those rabbits in Inland Empire were also quite terrifying. I remember feeling weirdly disturbed while watching yhe scene. Godfather is a good movie but idk what should I say about the franchise. I only watched 1 and 2. Haven't seen 3rd. I mostly hear very bad things about it so it doesn't really interest me. But I saw a very big spoiler scene that I actually loved. Probably the best scene of Godfather. It summarized and showed the climax of Micheal's character.

I had watched Lost Highway too. Twice actually. Unfortunately, compared to other works of Lynch I have watched, LH feels weirdly average. I think I'm the only person who thinks like that xD It's definitely similar to SH2. Most people say second part of Godfather is better than the first, but I think the opposite. The first movie has an irreplaceable place in my mind. I need to rewatch Shining someday too :DD

Yes, what excites me most about Twin Peaks (and probably the only thing that excites me :,)) ) is the 3rd season. I can't wait to see it. My friend also watched Twin Peaks and he said that 3rd season was the best thing the TV has ever shown. I want to rewatch Inland Empire someday, so that I can properly understand what the hell happened in the movie (or at least create my own comment on what happened) but I'm just soooo scared to watch it all over again. Especially seeing Nikki running on that famous scene will probably scare me to death again lmao. I agree, Anderson is one of the most stylish directors. I'm very excited about his next upcoming movie. If I'm not mistaken I heard something like in this movie he will show Benicio del Toro in EVERY FRAME. Sounds crazy xD idk maybe i heard it wrong or maybe he did a similar thing in one of his latest released short movies. I do have a Top 10 list but once in a while I change it so it's quite unstable xD. My current Top 10 are; Stalker, El Topo, Once Upon A Time in America, A Clockwork Orange, Breathless, The Cook The Thief His Wife & Her Lover (i know its a very really weird name but GOD I LOVE THAT MOVIE), Seven Samurai, The Shining, Godfather Part 1 and Eyes Wide Shut. Do you use letterboxd btw?

A close of friend of mine also has the same opinion with you about Twin Peaks. He told me that 1st season worked like a satire of many soap operas back from that time. Still I like 2nd season more since it feels more Lynchian. Yes, I also watched Inland Empire, but since I did not understand the movie I usually don't talk about it xD perhaps it might be the movie that scared the shit out of me the most. I might consider it as the weirdest and most independent movie of Lynch. What is your general opinion about Inland Empire? I had planned to watch Asteroid City back when it was released but when I heard many bad comments regarding it, I said "maybe another time" lol. Do you have top 10 favorite movies list or anything like that?
