A3! as a whole is very nice, compelling, and has some fleshed out moments within the anime. It is not without fault, as goes into the supernatural into the Winter Troupe portion and it adds things that do not need to be there to help get the plot across in an anime having to do with acting/theater overall. A majority of the characters either are new to acting, have a bit of acting experience, or just asked to join the specific season troupe without anything else. Personally, in this viewers opinion I think A3 could have been a bit more serviceable with a few changes.
...
No, I did not play the game that this anime is based on. Here is where this anime has missed the mark in an array of aspects. Now, this is coming from someone who has watched a fair amount of idol animes in the past, so this is just my overall opinion on what I would have done a bit differently. For starters I do agree on keeping the concept of having stage actors who have some acting experience around. My first change would be a handful of the characters let's say about three of them in total where all part of the entertainment industry is in a different capacity. One of them was a male idol since childhood, and was a part of a group that had been around for more than a decade. The idol group ended, and the members went their separate ways. But this one character still wanted to be a part of the entertainment industry, but not many takers wanted him. So, he searches for a new way to find and entertains others and comes across the Makkai Company. The other two would be former people who left the entertainment industry behind who never got those big breaks and ended up being typecast. One because of being a child actor and getting older was a detriment that he was getting bit parts in roles as a result, and left acting behind for a handful of years and got back into it after seeing the stage plays. Lastly, number three was always the supporting role but never got those important lead roles that he trained hard for, and left things behind for many years and only came back to show people that they made a mistake on him by not giving his big chance.
Overall, A3! is a good watch but it leaves a lot to be desired in a lot of potential areas that bring off growth. The same process over and over for each troupe gets exhausting, Some of the characters you can look at, dislike, and will sometimes just get annoyed with after their shtick is repetitive after a while. While the Spring and Summer one can deliver to be a solid 7 out of 10, Autumn and Winter falls into a solid 6 out of 10.

It took two episodes, TWO EPISODES for me to see that this anime is a real chore to get through. If you had to choose between watching this anime or watching paint dry. Please choose watching paint dry because boy oh boy does this anime suck the life out of you for all purposes. The characters are very one dimensional, lack of story at points, and overall a lack of game explanation rules really makes you consider why this anime has a low score to begin with. Read the reviews before going in, go outside, roll around in some mud before you decide to watch

What is one's purpose in life? That is the question that this anime has you wondering even if you are human or AI. How do we continue to evolve as a society, as people, as the world changes, and how do we continue when we hit a fall.
This anime is one where you would think it is a straight up idol anime from just the photo, but episode one really tells you that this a wait and see approach. As the anime progresses you can see how one will become invested, but also see why things could have been taken to a different course of
...
action. Sure, thirteen episodes may not be enough for some people to fully invest into this anime. If this anime had gotten a weird number of episodes of like twenty, then I think we are in a completely different ballpark of what this anime can do to drive you to fully sit and watch.
I will say this that this anime started off for me as a solid 6.5 out of 10 with the first two episodes, but after the scenes, sequences, and overall plot it pushed up to a solid 8 out of ten.

I gave season 1 a six out of ten and I finished that yesterday on January 30th 2024. I finished this season today January 31st, 2024. And man oh man does this show easily frustrate you to the point of no return. A majority of these characters feel like lap dogs for other characters. Attachment issues run rapidly, and you have a character deliberately keeping another character from reconnecting with a lost family member. No one outside of Maya, the only normal character you can feel an ounce of sorry for. If there was a Human Resources department for this restaurant, a majority of
...
these characters would be already looking for another form of work. Everything is too much of a big misunderstanding, and it drives you to the point of madness.
You grow to not feel sorry for anyone in this overall anime with the exception of Maya. If you want to watch an anime where they constantly insult your intelligence then season two of Working'!! is right up your alley.

To describe how this anime came out in the right year would be a huge understatement. As I am watching this anime in 2024, this anime came out in 2010. It really goes to show you how this anime would have come out between the years of 2016 to now. The feminist movement, men are trash, and I hate men crowd would have found this anime to be golden.
The female MC Mahiru Inami has a fear, and hatred of men. Ingrained into her brain, mindset by her own father from an early age. She is not a likable character in so many ways. She
...
works in a restaurant for one, and as someone who works in the hospitality field for a living. You can't show favoritism to one particular gender and show scorn for the other. She is so triggered by the presence of a man who is a total stranger to her, who she knows nothing about, and if you say hello to her she automatically wants to hit a man. She would be the poster woman for women empowerment. It doesn't work where you want to try to get through life and avoid places with men in them. Let me also add that she was doing poorly in two of her classes in school. She does go to an all girls high school, but she couldn't focus in two of her classes because you guessed it her teachers are men. This is the type of nonsense that she puts herself through, and you would find people looking to justify her causes in this case. You can't focus in school, blame it on men. You can't go anywhere in public, blame it on men. You can only do your job halfway, blame it on men.
It's an anime, but her character in season one is so nauseating and overall just terrible. Now, not all the other characters in this show are all overall great. Mahiru just makes everyone look like a pedestrian compared to herself.
Imagine yourself as a guy or if you are one. That someone you don't even know in life randomly gets so agitated by your mere presence because of your gender and they randomly scream and attack you for no reason. You would want to either not press charges, do press charges, defend yourself, or get yourself to a safe area. In today's climate, just by being a man and existing can be a cause for concern. The politically correct climate can hurt you in the worst way. Saying good morning to a coworker can really lead you to getting sent to HR for harassment. If you don't say hello to a coworker and keep to yourself. The rumors would spread that you hate everyone, or you are favoring a gender more than anything else. Especially if you are a man, and you don't speak to a woman you can be seen as a woman hater.

I never fell for the hype of this anime to begin with. Largely, I have been unimpressed with Spy x Family as a whole. From the very beginning it looked promising only to fall off into too much of a children's show based around Anya and her adventures. It hasn't done wonders for me with the finale coming this weekend. I have never been able to fully invest into any of the characters except for Fiona and that is about it. Yor, got some spotlight this season but she just may have suffered from too much lack of screen presence at points. Loid, is an
...
ok character but it seems like everything with him is an internal conflict in his own mind. Anya, the less I say the better it is for my own health and well being. I have just not seen the appeal that this show has brought to many people. When I think of a show with a spy theme that has done wonders for me. I think of Spy Classroom overall, and there I am more invested in the characters than anything else. Spy X Family has been a huge mess this season, and I feel like too much filler has hurt what could have been a fantastic season if done with proper execution.
Update: I have finished Spy X Family now and my opinion has not changed. This anime is not drawing me in overall, and not a lot of the characters with the exception of Fiona. I am just giving my opinion on why I view this anime as a standard 5.5 to 6 out of 10 for me. This anime has not made me laugh, cry, or feel overcome with any joy overall. More times than not I have found myself cringing, shaking my head, or just left feeling embarrassed. I might be in the minority, but I have to say that Spy x Family is one of the most overrated animes that has gotten so much hype, and has failed to live up to my expectations.

Poppin Party, Roselia, Raise A Suilen and all the other bands that have been at the forefront of what made the Bang Dream franchise are all placed on the back burner. While, I can't say that the first season of Bang Dream was great, you saw a real struggle with the initial start of Poppin Party get started, along with the foundation, character development, growth that led into the group finding their success into the second season. You then sprinkle in the introduction into Roselia, Afterglow, Pastel Palettes, Hello Happy World, and Raise A Suilen and you get a sense of care added to
...
the mix for a better second season. A second season that is good, but not great. Mixed with an ideal, backstory, growth, and a story line that was in my opinion a very insulting one to have overall. The third season takes shape to prove what the build up was supposed to be, after two seasons and knocks it out of the park. Then, here we are with MyGo and it is just not working out in the same stratosphere, I feel like I am just seeing something that is not working as a whole. I don't find any character to be enjoyable, the story feels so all over the place, and the characters we invested in for the first three are mentioned in passing in one regard, voices are heard, and it's not doing well for me. I am trying to invest my time and effort into a franchise that has great music, but some of it just does not bode well with the future of MyGo. Had it been Morfonica given a full on season, mixed with the previous groups I would enjoy it more. This is just me with four episodes in, just the lack of care, and feel of authenticity is lost here with this newest season. Right now this season is sitting at a current 5 out of ten for me.
UPDATED- 02/02/2024
I took a break from watching this anime for the sake of my mental health and well being. MyGo should have been titled Bang Dream: My God is this anime so Damn Slow starring MYGO!!!!!. If you want to find the cure for insomnia then this anime is just for you. If you are a respected fan of the Bang Dream franchise; and if your favorite bands are either Afterglow, Raise A Suilen, Hello Happy World, or Morfonica. They couldn't get a season devoted to themselves fully but this was launched instead. Please send Bushiroad a well addressed letter. The face palming you will do, the pausing of your laptop or if you are casting this on your tv and need a break to cringe more then strap yourself in for it. I have no sympathy or care for any of these new characters. There is supposed to be a new Bang Dream anime coming out in 2025. I have to watch that with probably a bottle of aspirin next to myself for the ensuing headache that is going to be coming from it if MyGO is the new standard. Pure awful and I am now finished as of this typing. Man of man this anime couldn't hook you and all it did was cause pain and suffering. In a terrible way this anime makes characters unaffiliated with the main problem getting hurt by proxy. It just felt like a slow painful watch as I had to binge it to get out of the way to end my suffering. This anime is the black sheep for the Bang Dream franchise.

I didn't know what to think of Appare-Ranman! in the beginning. True, with P.A. Works there tends to be a mixed bag on the shows that they have worked on. Beautiful animation, good to fantastic storytelling, characters that you can invest in, music(not so much). Appare-Ranman! is not a bad anime by any design, do I wish it was better in certain aspects instead of it turning into an episode of twists and turns trying to find the big bad? Yes, of course. Given the time period that this anime is set in, I can appreciate the realism of how characters of different backgrounds were treated
...
in living in America. No, this is not me clapping and applauding racism, sexism, or anything of the sort. I would rather have something be a bit accurate, than have nothing at all. Especially, when it comes to two supporting characters based on both their ethnicity and gender. Look, I can get that we are in a different time but if we pay attention to history we would often need to understand the time period of it. To see and sit there to understand a different perspective. While, I am not done with this anime, I can honestly sit and give this anime a solid. 7.5/10 for the efforts it brings to the table.
UPDATE:
I have fully finished with this anime and I feel as if it jumped the shark around the latter part of episode six into the ending of the full show. I have had to drop my rating down from a 7.5 to a 7 out of ten. This is the type of anime that should have worked better as a 24 episodes type of situation instead of just thirteen episodes. You get good glimpses of character backstories, and not everyone seems fully fleshed out. Some characters who should be more important, do not get the proper screen time or care to be presented in that manner. The problem was the issue of an antagonist becoming the biggest talking point all of a sudden. Not in the best way to go about and making a show seem good for what it is. This is one of the rare points where a P.A. Works anime should have done more to really entice their audience, with the hook. The premise of this show in the beginning was great, but in the end it felt like there was too much with not enough care at the end. It's a mixed bag, but I will say this was a good watch at points.

While it is not great, and it is not downright awful. Kakegurui Twin doesn't fully live up to the expectations that the two main animes have had. It feels like a downgrade in some sort of ways, Mary is not strong enough on her own to carry a show even with some supporting characters she has that we have never seen in the two main animes. This stems from the problem, of how her role in the Kakegurui seasons one and two were that of as a supporting character. You can be a fanastic suppoting character, but if you have the lead role and you
...
are expected to do more it is not easy. Perception is key, and it was evident from the first two episodes, that this show was going to be a rating of a 5.5 to a 6 for me. Then it hits you with the third and fourth episodes mainly to get it out of being stuck in first gear. Honestly, if this show was made first and had a transition phase of Mary and her character supporting crew I would have felt better about it. The show is ok, but it isn't in the form of hype that it should have been for a better overall presentation.

Alright, everyone so here is my review for Shine Post. I have to say that this anime met my expectations and then some with its overall presentation. From characters, to the different units, music, and overall feel of the show from start to finish. You can feel that this anime made the effort to give you a reason to care about its core of main characters. Once, again I am often reminded of how Idol animes are supposed to work as a whole. I did like the tease of the beginning of the first episode, of the main group TINGS being considered for a breakup.
...
Talk about putting the pressure on already, but it makes itself known of how the idol industry can be as a whole if a group is not producing results after a time period. Shine Post, doesn't shy away from internal conflicts within the group or with the characters from the same agency. I do appreciate how characters get their own two episodes or one to really show themselves. It feels like out of Haru, Rio, and Kyoka all feel like the main character respectfully. An idol anime where there are no issues within a group doesn't make for a good show, because it can't all be cookies, ice cream, rainbows, and marshmallows. TINGS, in the beginning you can see that they are still green, but have potential. Even so, it feels like during their time together essentially as a trio first, they have hit their wall. Only playing to a low number of fans, even if it is the same people over and over again. You get a sense of overall feeling to care about the characters when possible. In my honest opinion, this is one of the animes that could have been a twenty-four episode series with a soft introduction to a soft rise. Possibly, it could have been giving a green light for a second season as a whole in my honest view. The opening for this show is very mesmerizing in its own right. I felt like I was at an actual idol concert when I watched it. You see who the audience can have an impact on the idols as well, because as many of us who are fans of idol groups we all have our favorite that we stick to.
You get a clear full on sense of character development, throughout the course of the series. Some characters just appear either once or three times. Yet, they don't really add any convenience to the plot overall. Yet, as I said in the first part of my review, this is an anime that if given twenty-four episodes you can add more substance to the story. You would get a full course meal, without too many cooks in the kitchen with Shine Post. In this watcher's humble opinion I can honestly say that this is an anime for idol fans. It leaves you wanting for more, even if you are a non-idol fan. This is definitely the show that is a must watch, and it goes into the hidden gem/ dark horse anime category.
It gives off a sense of being like another version of Idoly Pride, mixed with Idolish7. Not too much overall, as with Idolish7 you have the main characters expanding their horizon in their professional lives with acting, commercials, voice acting work, modeling, etc. Shine Post is in its own right a very good idol anime, that it doesn't have to be too cute or too humble. There is no fan service inside of the show, so you can find yourself enjoying it more than others. If I could rate it with a half scale, it would be a 7.5 out of 10. However, it is a solid seven out of ten.
