The story is a bit silly, as are the characters. But there is one major thing to say for this manga... THE ARTWORK IS GORGEOUS. It is nit anything special in general terms, but compared to so may other yaois, which fall victim to odd proportions and etc, this manga is stunning.

The story is also fun, if a bit silly, as said. But it had me laughing, and drooling over the art. A good read for anyone intrested in the BL genre and want an escape from the standard art.

Tight Rope is an enjoyable manga, to say the least. It has some major flaws, like lack of problem resolution and romantic payout, but is otherwise satisfying. The world it sets up is also confusing, leaving you wondering things such as: Where are the cops during all this!?

But the romance is fun and cute. It was nice to see Naoki slowly come to understand and accept Ryu's dependence on him and vice versa. A nice read, if you don't mind some vulgarity, and can just let yourself read a cute story.

I haven't read much in the genre (but i am steadliy reading more) but from what I have, this has to be one of the best. I liked the perspectives and directions they took it. Toono himself is much more than a typicap uke, and Tamiaya is much more than a typical seme. And the side characters are entertaining as well.

My only complaint is that the second half, and the second couple, are no where near as interesting or entertaining as the first, in my opinion.

I eagerly await the new installments of this adorable, funny, and charming series!
