The Suzumiya series has been an intriguing thing for me. The order in which the episodes aired was confusing at first. The plot was never the best part. I had the most fun watching the club just running around having fun, the baseball episode being my favourite. Haruhi would be the driving force for each episode. She would order the club around and they would have no choice but to comply or the world would end.
This movie is nothing like that.
First and foremost, the most discernible thing about this movie is the lack of Haruhi. Instead of employing Haruhi as the driving force behind
...
what occurs, this movie instead utilizes Kyon and Yuki. We see Yuki in a brand new way. She now has feelings, crying and laughing. She is what sets everything in motion, not Haruhi. We now see Kyon reacting and changing as he goes through a dilemma that nearly drives him crazy. We see the effort he puts into escaping the trouble he falls into, as he goes through a journey of self realization.
This movie is a fresh and innovative addition to anime as a medium. Portraying previously bland characters in new ways. Apart from the near perfect plot, only problems being very slow pacing at the beginning, the movie has wonderful music and animation is of consistent quality throughout the movie.
This movie will satisfy die hard Haruhi fans and will surprise others who did not like it to such a degree and it is by far, Kyoto Animation's best work yet.

Probably going to get down voted for this but I'll give it a shot nevertheless. For the fans of this anime, try to think a little before becoming angry and down voting me because you think this is a masterpiece.
The main problem with Sword Art Online is that it has no idea what it is trying to be, and when it does attempt to be something, it fails at it.
Sword art online begins with a few episodes displaying a wide world full of amazing lands and buildings. It displays very amusing game play mechanics in this game world that Kirito is thrown into. This is
...
quickly ruined by the developer of the game making the announcement that all players currently logged in are locked inside the game and that death in the game means death in real life. The anime builds a great amount of emphasis on this in the next few episodes, stressing the need for the players to work together to overcome the challenges, and showing just how difficult having someone die can be. It makes you excited for the next episodes to come. You start to wonder what's going to happen next?, will everyone die?, Will Kirito be able to get to the 100th level? How hard will it be?
You start the next episode and a little girl and a bitch are fighting over who gets some shitty item drop and the little girl ends up leaving their party in anger and goes out alone into a party dungeon area. She then encounters a few monsters who kill her pet and are about to move on to kill her when our stupidly strong solo player chick magnet badass comes along and kills the apes like the fucking alpha that he is. The little girl and Kirito proceed to go on a treasure hunt to find a flower that will revive her little lizard.
How do I feel about this? Pretty disappointed. I wanted to see how a population of gamers facing a tragedy work together and win the game or break down and die off. I instead get a filler episode that consists of our hero saving a little girl damsel in distress, and proceed to help the little girl revive her pet.
Filler in a 25 episode anime? I thought maybe that was the only part but I was sadly mistaken. Move forward a few episode and the alpha and his new girlfriend are fighting about how much of a rare meat they get to eat. Move on another episode and our SOLO player single handedly kills an OP as shit boss.
11th episode now, ELEVEN, Asuna and Kirito have had a few fights with bosses together and have hung out/eaten food once or twice and HOLY SHIT THEIR GETTING MARRIED.
*Claps*
As I said before, this anime has no idea what it wants to be and fails horribly at any attempts it gives to try and be something.
Nevertheless, art was spectacular and music was good. It had many fight scenes that looked pretty epic, usually consisting of the solo player completely obliterating the enemy with no help what so ever, but they were entertaining to watch nevertheless.
I give this a 7/10, it's fun to watch but shouldn't think too hard while watching this.

Toradora is a very romantic animé portraying the story of how Ryuuji and Taiga fall in love. It is heartbreaking, funny and romantic.
Story wise this is nothing too extravagant, especially since it spoils the ending at literally the beginning of the first episode. This animé is more about the having enjoying the story along the way. This of course doesn't make the ending bad at all, on the contrary, I found it to be a very romantic and very satisfying ending. It progresses (the story) with characters going through many encounters, some bad, some good and portraying how the characters become closer to some and
...
less attached to others. The way I put it does sound rather mundane but in reality this is actually very amusing and will get many reactions from you.
Art is crisp, quality is great and there is never any drop of it.
Voice acting is phenomenal, truly making every episode full of emotion. Music as I remember it was great and added to the already emotional setting. It was very thematic, fitting well with the presentation and story.
Characters were great, showing many emotions and being very dynamic, each changing in their own way. Friendship and trust are shown to be very important aspects throughout the story.
I thoroughly enjoyed the animé, it was funny and very emotional and is one of the best love stories I have seen in a long time.

Masterful story with amazing pacing. Deep characters done with wonderful voice acting that truly sets the emotion of every episode. Art is beautiful and very thematic, portraying the 1900s British/German setting perfectly. Music is lovely, with many epic soundtracks that make fights very truly epic, as well as tracks during emotional moments or important shifts in plot. Almost every episode leaves you hanging and begging for more, and if you truly pay attention, you will be very impressed at how wonderfully paced it is. The content is very powerful, portraying many ideas and problems about society. Every scene is choreographed very well, using the
...
ideas and philosophies that were portrayed and twisting them and giving even more meaning then they already have. An example of this would be in episode 8:

Skip to 16:00 and watch from there and it should be very clear how the idea of the two brothers being human is quickly twisted into something more malevolent. The ending is very satisfying as it gives complete restoration and closure. Overall I enjoyed every minute of this anime and am confident in the rating I have given it. A must watch for anime mature anime fan, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is a powerful anime with wonderful story that will have you at the edge of your seat until the very end.

Take it easy please, my first review :)
In my time watching anime, I have always spent my time watching the cliche shows such as Naruto, One Piece etc. It was only recently that I had been introduced to the many deep and meaningful anime that have been out of my sight for such a long time, and Madoka Magica was one of them.
Overall, the plot of the story was very well choreographer, the events taking place in the anime, as they are unveiled seem absolutely unbelievable. The scheme of things seem devious but also mistifying at the same time, and all do a very good
...
job at causing the viewer to FEEL something. Yes this anime actually makes you go through emotional agony, really making you question matters like what it really means to be a human, religion, emotion, society. All are tied together and represented in a masterful and action filled heartbreaking anime.
Story: The story was very well done, wasn't rushed at all and was so unique but at the same time flexible, that it allowed the writers to really be able to portray the characters very well and show how they are developing through the dilemma they are in.
Character: The characters develop wonderfully, turning from happy to sad to insane in a steady and organized manner, everything has a reason for happening, which gives a great bit of satisfaction when you see something happen to a character and understand it fully and be able to connect to it feel bad or good about the character.
Sound: Music was amazing. I felt that it did lack something, which I cant really put my hands on, but im still going to give it a 10/10 because it fit with the overall feel of the anime and made each seen either really intense or sad and did a very good job at it.
Animation: Shaft really did a spectacular job with this one, animation is very pretty and always top notch, they even went to the trouble of trying to make every seen or a quick still look really really epic, even if its just showing streetlights, or a dark room with only a single light, the lights arnt exaggerated Battlefield 3 style, but are still done so well that it makes all the stills stand out. The set pieces were also impressive and did a great job and showing off that Shaft had a lot of money to spare.
Enjoyment: I enjoyed the anime especially because of the meaningful messages it brought up, and the many connections to religion that it made, tying it all this together was really magnificent and im just a sucker for this kind of stuff. I really enjoyed the anime.
Overall: Its a great anime stressing many aspects of human nature and evil and portraying amazing set pieces and storytelling and pacing. Lovely characters and amazing art. This kind of anime is very rare and it should not be missed.
