Fantastic arc, the special is good but I don’t think it hits nearly as hard as the O.G anime series as the anticipation and emotions were not as strong due to the shorter length of the special vs the anime series. Also the recap at the beginning wasted a bit of time that could have been put more towards the arlong/nami arc. The special is great as a recap/highlight for people who have already viewed the arc in the anime but I don’t think you should watch this special as a first time viewer. On a positive note the animation in the special is amazing
