Aldnoah.Zero (Anime) add
TLDR: Worth the watch, even for non mech fans. Get hype for season 2

Aldnoah zero was one an acclaimed mech anime from summer 2014 that shows us both sides of an invasion where you could choose who is in the right. The story here was well written and follows multiple different characters. Basically, there are three sides in this war (Earth, Vers, and Slaine) where we follow 2 of those sides until they all collide at the climax. There is enough action each episode to keep those who dislike background information and character development interested. The shows pacing was great for one cour; we follow ...

TLDR: Generic magic fantasy story with a harem and fan service

Trinity seven's story was quite confusing and boring. It started off for a few episodes where I didn't know what was happening because I didn't care. T7's premise was generic fantasy where our MC finds power and has to save the world. Where it is different is he has a harem and you can't really tell what he's trying to save, except for his cousin. The magic system was original, but uninteresting, and the names for everything are the generic fantasy names that you see in many pieces. You have your Norse, Biblical, and other ...

TLDR: Tried too hard to be good

Story wise, SAO II improved upon SAO. There were three arcs in SAO II. GGO, Calibur, and Mother Rosario. GGO was my favorite out of these, being an unexpected change of pace from the fantasy setting. Introducing a fun, new world to explore was great; the only let down was a poor execution for the ending. 7.5/10 for GGO. The second arc was really shitty. We were set back into the usual world, but with new scenery. It felt just plain bad when compared to GGO and even the past seaason's poor arcs. 3/10. Mother Rosario was all the ...

Psycho-Pass 2 (Anime) add
TLDR: Still good, but missing some elements from PP1

Should you watch this if you've watched the first one? It may not be necessary, but I feel like the hole for wanting more that I had in my heart has been filled.

The art and sound were very consistent with the first season. The animation quality is superb; the character's design is beautiful and the scenery (and imagery) presented is nice to look at. 9/10 for art. The OP and ED are some of the best for fall 2014. I listened to both for each episode and greatly enjoyed it. All the other music fits nice ...

The original "Hitsugi no Chaika"was a pleasant surprise for most people. It started out as your average fantasy- filled with magic, swords, and a quest. It was slowly, but nicely, paced; however, it left the viewer with a lot of questions. "Hitsugi no Chaika: Avenging Battle" set out to answer what was left in the air, and possibly conclude the series.

The story in Chaika 2 started out very poor. It lost the intensity that the ending of Chaika 1 had, although many sequels do. The show leisurely found a footing and made its linear path to an almost ...

Mirai Nikki is a "death game" thriller that had a lot of potential. The show itself was like a sinusoidal curve with my interest in it. At the beginning my interested steadily rose, until dropping off until around eps 18ish, then dropping off after episode 22.

The story, without going into spoilers, was your average "kill everyone until you're the last one standing" hunger games approach to select the next god. It focuses on our MCs and their interactions with a certain number of enemies at a time, then moving on to the next batch. It seems repetitive and ...

Ping Pong the Animation comes very close to being a masterpiece, but is lacking in the visuals. It is a mixture of hard character development, great action, and in depth look into sports and table tennis.

The story is perfect for 11 episodes. Everything at the end was concluded; all threads were tied and the viewer is left feeling satisfied. 10/10.

The OST for ping pong is one of my favorites. The intense opening and "battle" themes really set the mood for the action sequences. There are appropriate slower songs for the sad moments, and other niche ...

Mixed Feelings
Kill la Kill is an edgy action anime with a unique story. It is fun to watch; however, at a technical level, I found it below average and dumb at times.

The story starts off fine and epic, for the first half. Commence a series of asspulls to extend the plot- they also don't make much sense at all. It would've done better to avoid the out of place fanservice, and instead focus a bit on the plot holes. 3/10, was entertaining to watch what was happening- requires brain to be off to understand though. My biggest problem was ...

Air (Anime) add
In a short summary, Air tries to do too much in it's limited time and flops. Air forces a complex plot on the viewer that doesn't fit well, which leads to its downfall.

Air's story starts out pretty simple, but soon takes some emotional turns with characters we've barely met. The logical choice would be for our MC to leave or ignore these girls who need help, but he becomes ever so close into figuring out his mother's tale. 1 cour was not enough to fill even 1 route from the VN and in turn, leaves the anime viewer ...

Oh HotD, your go-to zombie boob show. This action-ecchi is an entertaining watch; however, stay away if you like your fanservice light.

The story is one of the weakest parts. From just watching this season, there is little progression towards any goal in mind, and a wide open ending. 4/10 for irrational actions that were entertaining, but took away from the supernatural/horror aspect. This one requires a blank mind to avoid over-thinking any of the plot points.

The animation was mediocre 90% of the time, but became very smooth for specific action sequences to emphasize the details. ...
