Again, just when I thought the zombie genre could not get any more new ideas, I was proven wrong. Zom 100 was a pleasant surprise that cleverly used the apocalypse as a way to criticize the shit working conditions in Japan. From the first episode, I was already surprised by the way the protagonist reacted to the zombies. Unlike other zombie projects, this one is full of colors and has an upbeat tone. Even more, beneath the exciting actions, the show also commented on society and how people reacted differently depending on their lives before the outbreak.

This leads to my problem with the last ...

Simply put: this season showed me how much I don’t know about this complex universe.

Season 1 for me was a phenomenal shonen action with a lot of coolness and some weirdness.

This new arc tho, completely changed that. I was surprised with the sudden amount of information loading. I have to be honest I was confused, and the dope action compensated a lot. It took me time to digest and go back to get down the basics of this curse energy universe. After that I started to understand the show more.

With that, I started to see how the evil plan progressed, and became more invested ...

Clearly the lesson of this movie is don’t play anymore Pokémon Go.

Having watched the first two seasons of SAO, I did enjoy the franchise somewhat, although there’s a bunch of stuff that I don’t care about. Because of this I didn’t have much high hopes for this movie.

Ordinal Scale was surprisingly a blast. The animation was the key to this anime. Each boss battle was such a feast for the eyes. It’s not just the fight animation that was awesome, even the death animation was cool to watch. Some CGI monsters were kinda problematic, but the ones at the beginning and the last boss looked ...

Slice of life high school anime are usually dramatic and serious, but then we have this odd one. Skip and Loafer has drama of course, but most of its runtime portrayed a happy high school life.

What I liked most about the show is the characters. They are all stereotypical students in pretty much any high school. Each of them has a different personal struggle and goal that they want to achieve in their school life. With this, the show did an smooth job blending these characters together where each of them clashed but overcome their differences to become friends. The clashes are realistic despite ...

Oh yes they played season 1 opening at the end. That OP was so good.

Season 1 was an okay show that opened me to the complicated political world of this Gundam universe. I don’t watch a lot of Gundam, but whenever I hear of Gundam I think of mecha fights and not politics. Season 2 pushed this politics even more, and I have to admit I wasn’t able to keep up with all the details.

However, at its core, the story of this Gundam universe was still amazing. The many sides that took place in fighting for or against Gundam kept the story interesting and ...

My Home Hero (Anime) add
You can’t mess around with this dad. A man going through length to keep his family safe from a criminal organization. The beginning was a little slow, but this anime picked up quickly in the second half with a great mind game between the characters. There’s a lot of planning in this story, but I didn’t always buy the method behind how the dad and his wife tricked the organization. Sometimes I kinda have to extend my disbelief to accept what was shown. The animation, although not the worst, was weak and tampered with my enjoyment of the show. Still, the story itself was fun ...

When I’m together with you, even sleepless nights aren’t so bad.

Insomniacs After School is another romance that shows you don’t need huge drama to create a good romantic story. Here, the anime comprised mostly of the two insomniacs hanging out and learn about each other for 13 episodes, and eventually fell in love with each other. It took a bit of time, but the quality time they spent together was precious and beautiful. Their love and understanding of each other felt justified and not abrupt. Watching them slowly unfold their vulnerability to each other showed how beautiful of a match they are. Overall, it’s one ...

Let’s go, to Vinland.

This review is for season 2 of Vinland Saga, and one that I think was better than the first.

This is what a peak character journey looks like. I was so moved by the way Thorfinn faced his inner demon, aka his bloody past and went beyond that. The imagery that portrayed his past was disturbing and emphasized the pain Thorfinn carried. I believe that many people like me expected a lot of fights like previous season, but it’s the opposite. I was a little bumped out, but then seeing Thorfinn’s transformation compensated for all of that.

His well-crafted character arc wouldn’t ...

Level 999 rizz mastered.

A new romance that involves gaming, showing that there’s hopes, but of course it still requires contacts.

Lv999 is an adorable anime that made me smile whenever I watch it. The animation is cute and fun. I’m pretty biased because I always love watching romcom. Lv999 is the exact type of romcom that I always come to love. I could watch something like this every season and would not get bored.

I love the dynamic between Yamada and Akane. They have polar opposite personalities, and they easily complement each other. It’s a smooth way how they both built their relationship with each ...

Mixed Feelings
It seems that Demon Slayer is falling into a pattern: slow or decent buildup that led to amazing fight animation at the end while interlaced with backstories that are usually forgettable. Unfortunately this season accentuated this pattern in a bad way.

The swordsmith village itself was pretty forgettable. Since everyone is masked, there’s not much to give life or character into the village. Like all they do is make swords, and that’s that. It’s nothing that interesting like the entertainment district.

With two Upper rank villains, the fights for the most part didn’t have as much at stake like the fight last season. These two villains ...
