I recommend starting simultaneously with the manga, with the second part is a very unique and original plot with high doses of graphic violence, nudity, comedy, social issues and puberty, the design, art and narrative totally follow the manga during the first first 90 chapters, is a great narrative for lovers of science fiction, weapons desgins, gore, relationships, eroticism and action.
The animation quality is very original mixing with 3d designers, the soundtrack and the music, especially the opening and closing themes are amazing, the main problem of the anime is the fast ending while the production catches the anime but only in the last 5

Saint Seiya is one of the most well know anime around the world except in north america, so my first advice to understand this is you avoid the dubbed versions, if you can´t see anime with subtitles, then as usual you going to see different terms and the poetic language altered in several parts, especially since this is an anime that adapt elements and terms of Greek mythology, Buddhism between others.

This is part of Dragon Ball, the most popular anime in the world, so the production of this anime is exceptional, many people deny this for not been canon, the art and music design is awesome, sadly the story became mediocre with terrible antagonists.

This is a mandatory anime for any person after the 13 years, no less. But I recommend watching version 99 and then watching this one, the main 2011 problem is that this production starts this anime thinking of a more childish adaptation (for a younger audience) and then changes that, that creates a strange contrast that can create two bad decisions in the new audience: they leave the series but only follow by the advice of a great series, not their own decision or two, they do not digest this version expecting entertainment without so much suspense and violence.
