Old timer, my first exposition to anime dates back to the 70s.
I hate mostly everything from the 80s with a passion.
... Dragon Ball and Saint Seiya included,
... actually those especially.
Took a huge break from anime and came back about 2 years and a half ago.

Just out of curiosity... have you ever played Final Fantasy VII? If you've grown up with it and remember every single detail, the experience gets so much better. Alright, so the story is a bit shallow, I'll give you that, but Advent Children is pure fan service. I hate to sound like a fanboy, but I thought it was pretty good, though, of course, it could've been better.
