Well I don't write many reviews let alone manga reviews. I will admit my anime viewing list may be long by my manga one I can count on my hand haha. My friend suggested this to me due to my slice of life background.

What can I say about Mayo Chiki? Well for starters this is one of those anime I pick based off of just the cover art alone. For every now and then I will just randomly pick something to watch and just use the cover art to give me just the smallest indication of what the show is.
The story revolves around Jirou, a high school boy who suffers from nose bleeds when in contact with girls. A new semester begins and on his first day as well, he bumps into Kanoe Subaru in the boys toilets. This which would be a normal thing, wasn't normal ...

I thought of going a bit out there in terms of shows, I live in the UK and have a fond love for Medieval things like Jousting. Now when I came across this show in one of MAL's recommended lists I noticed it said the genre was Ecchi and I got curious how Jousting and Ecchi would go hand in hand.
To go right to the point the Ecchi content is rather tame to be honest, if you're a big ecchi fan then this probably won't be the show for you. The first 3 episodes have it more than the rest of the show but ...

Well where do I begin with this show? Maybe in my make believe world in which I control all the shots? no no lets be sensible. I have watched a fair amount of anime in the last couple months and my most enjoyed genre is slice of life/romance. I barely come around to writing reviews but I made the exception with Isshuukan Friends. ( I.F for future shortening). I remember looking at this anime on the anichart website. The description gave good premise of what was going to be and the hook for this fish (being me obviously :P) was that the main girl Kaori forgets her friends every Monday.

Log Horizon is a show about thousands of players being trapped in the online world of 'Elder Tale'. (The similarities with shows like SAO can stop here) Elder Tale is a far more thought out world than you expect and the characters themselves are solid in all respects.

Well this is going to be my first review to be honest and the reason being that this was the show that kick started my love for anime again and the romance/slice of life genre.
Toradora has an excellent collection of characters which all interweave through a lovely and well paced story that will bring happiness, sadness and tension between them. The show itself is beautifully animated and the voice work is brilliant in particular scenes where it needed to deliver. I have watched many romance animes and slice of life and I still think this is one of the best ones to show off ... |
