Art: The art in this manga was surprisingly good. The translations I found had some noticeable errors but not enough to ruin it at all.

Story/Characters: This whole story just feels really pretentious to be honest. It feels like someone read a really good story that had a lot of plot twists, then they said "hey I can do that too!" and then packed that into 5 chapters. There are twists but they aren't really hinted at very well beforehand. That mixed with it only being 5 chapters takes away any impact they might have. Its a lot of "hey that guy who appeared in ... two panels before turned out to play a more important role than you thought".
You don't get enough time to really connect with any of the characters. It is a problem that short mangas like this inherently have. I really wanted to like this manga because it has a cool idea, pretty good art and it even has some parts that made me feel feelings. Unfortunately in the end I think it just couldn't pull off what it was trying to accomplish, especially in only 5 chapters.

Art/sound- Similarly to the show the sword art online movie brought along some wonderful art, animation, and sound. There are lots of things to nitpick this franchise for but this category is not one of them.

Story- The story did a good job of sprinkling in some comedy as well as symbolism which is something I can appreciate. Unfortunately it was also packed with a couple cliches and a lot of convenient plot devices to keep the story going. I won't get into all that so I don't spoil anything. It was not amazing but it was ... a nice story that kept me interested most of the time throughout the entire movie. I was mostly relieved that they decided not to build tension through rape like they usually do.

Characters- Bringing the same characters back brings back the same issues as well. At the begging they try to get it through your head that Kirito is not the invincible plot armor god that he once was but then that randomly gets thrown out and he turns back into himself at a convenient time in the movie. One thing I will say though is that I really liked Yuna's character. She has an awesome design and backstory to boot. Her story and character really helped carry this movie.

Overall- If you liked the show you will love this movie. If you're like me and you think that the show had some really good ideas that were executed poorly then you will have similar feelings about this movie. That being said it was still entertaining and I am glad I got to see it in theaters.

I really enjoyed reading Ame no Hi no Iris and so I wanted to do a quick review of this story.

Story:
Overall I think the story was pretty good but the biggest issue with it is that it gives away a lot of what is going to happen with the names of the chapters. I really wish I would have read it without looking at the synopsis on mal and seeing the names of the chapters because it would have made it much more enjoyable. Putting that aside I think that the story was well written and the idea of having robots that are so similar ... to humans is really interesting. It is not an innovative idea but what made it unique in this story is that it is all told through the perspective of the main character who is a humanoid robot. It allowed the author to show the similarities/differences between how we handle situations in our head and how an advanced robot might think about things.

Art:
I really liked the artwork for this story it is part of why I started reading it in the first place.

Characters:
The author did a great job giving the characters their own unique personalities. How much you like these characters is up to your own personal tastes. I have to applaud the author for doing as much as he did with the characters in the amount of chapters that he did it. If I had to say something that he could have done better it would be adding more entertaining humor in the parts where he is really trying to build the characters personalities. Just saying that they "tease" eachother doesn't really work well.

Overall:
This story was entertaining but it was not without its flaws. I would definitely recommend giving it a try to see if you enjoy it as well.

Story:
In short this manga is about someone who lost the person that they loved. That premise alone is nothing new but it adds a very interesting take on that by giving you not only the perspective of the main character but also the woman he lost watching over him from heaven. The author does a good job of peppering in a bit of symbolism as well as making the story interesting in a very short amount of chapters.

Art:
The art is well done. It is not the greatest art I've ever seen in a manga but it ... works.

Characters:
The characters lack depth which is inherent with a short story like this one.In my opinion the characters are the weakest part of the manga because they don't really get fleshed out and that makes it harder to connect with them.

Overall:
This story does a lot of things well in a short amount of chapters. It has flaws but it is definitely something worth reading.
