Lol, I hoped you noticed my "you're unique, just like everyone else" joke. But anyway, it's just that some people don't understand that there are just a few guys who get turned on by the weirdest shit. For example, I get turned on by people who crossdress. I'm not gay or anything, but my brain just thinks of them as a member of the opposite sex and oh boy, it's really hot. It's even more of a turn on myself if I crossdress, which is so hard to explain to my dad that I"m not homosexual and it's all just fetish. You wouldn't believe it.

Maybe she's just not your type? Sounds like you're not really into her and you're just forcing yourself to so you could try to return her feelings. But honestly, it's better off that you look somewhere else, because that wouldn't end well. But if you do like her, but you just don't feel that it's enough to deepen your relationship, it could be just that you should hang out more. Yeah, I agree. Honestly, you're unique just like everyone else and I can guess that the biggest amount of people who share the same exact personality only takes up at least 5% of the world. So to me, talking about what normal is would be a waste. Maybe if they mean they just don't want to stand out, then that makes more sense. And I agree especially with that "sexual needs" part, lol. My dad found out about something that I do and it's pretty hard to explain that it's a fetish and he just got the wrong idea at first, lol.

KNB is a 2-cour anime in all seasons, right? Another reason why I'm kind of struggling to even get started on it. The length would be equal to half of HxH if you sum it all up.

Well yeah probably. I've already known a few of my friends who read my conversations with other people. It's pretty uncomfortable sometimes knowing that they might mention something really weird to one guy. But I got over it after a while.

Lol, do you still do that though? It's kind of hard not to get embarrassed with that stuff. I don't usually care about what people think about me, but I just can't handle being caught out of character like that. I just can't help it. I'm sure I've done more embarrassing stuff that I can no longer recall, but I want to keep it that way. Every time I remember something humiliating, I think "oh God" then proceed to feel uncomfortable on whatever I'm doing at the moment. :/

I just don't tell everyone because wouldn't you agree that a little mystery would keep things interesting? Heck yeah! Back then when I started watching Hyouka, the MC is not only very lazy, but also says despite not being awkward/shy, he still doesn't like interacting with other people because he finds it exhausting. And his famous line, "if I don't have to do it, then I won't"? I totally agree with it 100%. I feel and think exactly the same way Oreki does and it feels really weird and amazing to sympathize with a character in anime. That's why he's one of my favorites now. Anyway, what about you? Yeah, Radiohead songs can be depressing. If you want to listen to an album from them, I recommend OK Computer. It's my favorite album and it has most of my favorites from them like No Surprises and Electioneering. It's also filled with the kind of atmosphere you're familiar with while listening to the band! The lyrics are pretty meh to me. But a few of their songs have well thought out ones. I don't pay attention to lyrics much either. The only thing that matters to me is that if a song sounds good no matter how overused the lyrics may be.

Wait, sorry but why would you chase after people? And yeah, I can see why being a leader would be really good. Anyway, would you recommend Ergo Proxy dubbed or subbed? And should I marathon it? There are just some shows you can marathon and some not. Bebop is one of the nots and I'm just checking this time if EP's good for that too.

It's not like I'm the best person you should be asking this question (my list is more or less entry-level too) but Kemono no Souja Erin, Touch and Wings of Honneamise are all relatively underwatched (good) shows that you might want to add to your list. Actually disgregard Touch since the manga is probably better (and ends quicker). I could also blindly suggest you obscure series I know that I haven't watched, but I can't vouch for their quality

Well, what matters is just to take on things you enjoy doing rather than forcing yourself to live up to everyone else's expectations or choosing a career mainly because it pays well. That's the trick with career choices. If you're going to use half of the time of your life working to live, might as well make the said occupation enjoyable. But of course, that doesn't apply to everyone. For instance, I'm the opposite. I don't enjoy doing work at all. So, I won't find anything fun. If there's that job everyone on Reddit complains about on how they just sit in front of their computers on their offices and print papers and stuff? You can bet your ass I'll take their jobs if they don't want it, lol.

Anyhow, I'm glad to know you're adventurous with this kind of stuff. Keep that up and you'd be capable of learning anything in no time. But as for me, I just care about not doing much and get the best grades possible.

GTO and Baccano are two above average shows I can't get myself to care about and yet look at my (ironic) current Vividred Operation rating haha. Some of my favourite series aren't even that good to begin with... Log horizon and Angel beats possibly being the most significant examples.

Not everyone shares that view and most people really are content with receiving more or less what was already in their comfort zone. Even the majority of the community here or anywhere doesn't care about their movies/anime/music as an artform but simply as something enjoyable.

The particular case of anime is even worse because some people working in the industry are not too different from the audience in the first place and the audience is not made of people who care about anime as an artform in the first place (or at the very least the vast majority of them). That's why more artistically ambitious projects have no funding and generally do not sell well compared to what is popular, which is especially bad since what's popular doesn't sell too much in the first place because the audience is so niche

Also, not every person working behind an art project necessarily has the talent to pull off something that is truly remarkable, even if every other condition is met.

Sure, it's fun. But there's just so many complicated solutions to each problem, I couldn't take it. To be honest, I used to be really good at this back in elementary. Most likely because the solutions don't change for certain problems like in high school and college, know what I mean? And isn't being doctor more science oriented than math? And why don't you shift courses if you're not sure if you can handle it?

I kind of admire how they even decided to take on a subject they're not familiar with over a subject they have already tackled in the past. It's quite a risky gamble if you ask me. We're talking about college here. You screw up, you're going to have to try again and start from scratch and I'd rather pick something I'll less likely fail in. Also, I'm a lazy shit who doesn't pay attention to class most of the time, lol.

It's not that the activities of IT really bothers me much that I want to change courses. It's just that my dad's retiring as some kind of clerk in an energy company her works in, and he's offering that maybe I could take his place by the time he'll be gone.
