These two shows focus on a young prodigy of a particular sport and how they help their team. The father of the MC of both series is/was a pro who are crucial in their kids development. While these shows can be considered "old", they have aged well, with the sub-par animation overshadowed by well paced and high intensity games. Don't be put off by the length of these shows, as their production quality increases throughout both series.

These two shows have the same creator, so if you liked one, you will most likely like the other. Also, these shows have very similar characters, the main four in both having almost parallel personalities. Both have well developed stories and excellent action scenes.
