Break Blade manga was much better. The movies are ok until movie 4, where they started deviating massively from the ongoing manga. So obviously there were plot holes. Otherwise it would take another 6 movies to reach the point they are in the manga.
Try .hack//Quantum OVA or some movies (like Time of Eve or Summer Wars)
Otherwise you can always start Detective Conan....
So currently, there is Tiger and Bunny which is pretty entertaining to watch.
Other than that:
Drama: Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai (Ano Hana), Usagi Drop
Comedy: Level E
Action: To Aru Majutsu no Index 1&2 + To Aru Kagaku no Railgun
The To Aru franchise is huge and have a large cast of characters
You should probably finish Durarara too.
The Shana third and final season is coming in Fall too.

As for really new ones, the .hack//Quantum OVAs and the Break Blade movies are decent enough.
