Well first of all, opinions are not objective by definition. It seems I failed at the sarcasm in my post. Oh well.
SEED was godawful with stock footage and most characters are "dumbed down". Let's forget about Destiny, that series never existed. Regardless, statistics show that SEED attracted large amount of fans (and ironically SEED Destiny attracted more as it rides on the success of SEED). It also received generally positive reviews. The reason why people think it's awful is because of the soap opera style drama, which clearly does not suit everyone. Also, UC >> CE, but it doesn't mean SEED is a bad series just because UC is better.
Regardless, I have more interest watching SEED than AGE. Don't start telling me AGE's characterization is a masterpiece... It's worst than SEED. Thus, it's really moot trying to shoot down people's opinion because they differ.

I can see how you mean that I kinda wrote it more like a forum post and less like a review. I'll go back and revise it a bit, thanks for the comments. I do still want to mention the ratings thing at least a little bit, because it is illustrative of the point that they are apparently not doing a good job of attracting younger viewers. (It's harder to determine when you're older if something appeals well to a younger audience, since the storytelling tends to be different and more simple, etc)

i actually wrote like 3 comments on it in that pretty long rewiew so your kinda weird saying that the whole thing was just a rant and it seems to be the only thing you noticed in it because i thoroughly explained the base storyline as best as possible without giving any spoilers
