Some of you, after watching series like Madoka or Bakemonogatari may have wondered what would romance series made by SHAFT be. Well, this is the answer.
At first, art. SHAFT's trademark, all those unrealistic sceneries and situations that together somehow make sense. I rate the art in this series as outstanding. Just watch one episode and you'll understand.
Secondly, story. This is the only flaw of this series - there was no real plot, basically every episode was a bunch of more or less connected scenes, so we can enjoy the characters.
Since we're at it, characters. Aside from the only significant male character being protagonist himself, this ...

Preliminary (14/25 eps)
In the moment of writing this review I've watched first fourteen episodes, which make a complete anime. I don't know what's in later episodes, and I will watch them. But this is a complete story, and this story, within only 14 episodes I will rate.
It's amazing. NO series amazed me to that degree since... I can't even remember. The story is great. The characters are great. The sound is great. The art is great. EVERYTHING is freakin' great. When they want you to laugh, you laugh. When they want you to cry, you cry like you just lived the most moving moment in your life. ...

Preliminary (11/13 eps)
Baka to Test is just another ecchi-like what-the-hell-am-I-actually-watching type series. It's not really funny, nor romantic. It's just one big "meh", like many series latey. Is's just so average. Firstly we have average school boy protagonist, with average friends, being traditionally harassed by some girls, everything surrounded by bad jokes about flat breasts. As always. Practically only funny thing is protagonist's older sister, but she gets practically forgotten further in the series.Like in fourth episode. The further it goes, the more it turns into even more average cheap school romance. Not even trying. Honestly, 11th episode was so unnecessary and overdramatised I gave up trying ...

Preliminary (4/24 eps)
Disclaimer: this is rather first-few-episodes impression than actual review. It'll be probably changed when more episodes come out.

Sakurasou no Pet no Kanojo is one of those hard to rate series. On one hand it isn't really that great compared to legends like Death Note, but on the other it's outstandingly awesome compared to series of harem genre. I was expecting less, so my rating may be a little over top.
This anime is a funny comedy, good fanservice and beautiful romance in one. We have interesting characters, interesting story, great art, and really tempting ecchi scenes mixing with each other. Overall this makes an incredibly fun ...

Mixed Feelings
Evangelion - heaven for haters. If you expect older Gurren Lagann, you're gonna have a bad time. There's most of things you can hate in anime. Whiny characters. Yaoi (many people don't like it). Threads that don't make any sense and are NEVER EVER explained even briefly. For example, ending. I'll try not to spoil anything. Ending is bad. Whole two last episodes of main character whining, and whining, and whining, and you have no idea what's up, because there's only ONE hint what's happening, and it... doesn't make ANYTHING clear. Some people call it art. Well, I can splash paint at the floor, and ...

We all know these anime series that aren't anything outstanding, but you can laugh your butt off watching them. Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai is one of them. Just twelve episodes of relax and spontaneous laughter. There's one really outstanding thing in this series: there's no shitty romance thread even at the end. No crying, no love problems, nothing like this. Zero. This is actually why I rated the story and overall as "very good". Oh, and perverted gags sometimes that are at least at Nisemonogatari level. Fanservice exists of course, but it's not really annoying. And... this'll be it. If you're searching for ambitious ...

Death Note (Anime) add
Death Note is one of the best series of all time. I won't say it's absolutely the best (for example I liked Higurashi no Naku Koro ni better), but still on top.
Imagine chess and then add awesomness, and you'll get Death Note. This is the best way of describing it. But now I'll end glorifying this serie and try to describe why it's this good.
This anime contains of two parts, and you'll know when one ends and the other begins. I will call them halves. I liked the first half way better than second. It's like this for me: at first I couldn't believe it's ...

I won't write there what this anime is all about, if you don't know, you'd better watch first season or read a review of it. I will only write my feelings after watching second season. You are warned.
Apart from what I thought starting to watch this season, it turned out to be about as good as first season. It was a bit less funny, but the last "conquest" was a really outstanding story. I must say that as far I don't especially like sequels, I'm waiting for third season, which according to the very ending should get aired. And... I don't especially know what is ...

This is masterpiece. This series have everything you want in one: outstanding story, great soundtrack, unique characters and beautiful art. It keeps you wondering what'll happen from one of first episodes to end. Also everything there have ideal proportions. Where should be drama, there's drama, but before you'll start to be bored by this it suddenly changes to different type. And over, and over. When there should be blood, there's blood, but not too much. When there should be something more intense like corpse or something like this, it is, but for a brief time. Enough to satisfy and not enough to make you feel ...

Mayo Chiki! (Anime) add
Ecchi is weird and kinda hard to review genre. Just the amounts of overwhelming everything fanservice are unforgivable if they are accuring in every other genre, but ecchi is basically created for fanservice which makes hard rating anime series like this.
Mayo Chiki is anime that compared to statistic anime is decent comedy with too much sex related gags, but compared to statistic ecchi, it's on a whole new level. Through series there were only few very unrealistic moments (including immortal incidental glomp). Also characters aren't just walking tits + main protagonist. They actually, believe or not, have some personalities, which is very suprising thing for ...
