A gundam seed movie truly written with love for the series. With many of the recent gundam series they felt different almost not gundam like but this movie was definitely different, it not only was unmistakably gundam but screamed the themes of gundam seed.

Many references to both gundam seed and gundam seed destiny were included in the movie so a rewatch prior to watching the movie is recommended.

The art for the most part was actually quite good and even the weird lips that Lacus has were easily tuned out with so much great art surrounding it.

the pacing was very fast with much of what would ... be considered huge focal points if this was a television show and not a movie just glossed over.

If i had only one complaint for the movie it would be how the Voice actor for cagalli was changed. Shindo Naomi (original VA in seed and destiny) did decline the role but no one can replace her as she did such a superb job voicing Cagalli. Nanako Mori (New VA in seed freedom) did try but ultimately was not able to live up to the role.

An interesting Anime that a crazy amount of effort put into making it as uninteresting as possible.

The big issue with this anime is the pacing, many episodes happen with you feeling did anything happen?
Sometimes it takes 3 or 4 episodes for what seems to be a minor rescues. This is partially because of the intense amount of recaps every episode but also because a lot of dead time to make suspense (which it doesn't actually make nor is it helpful most of time).

The recaps are so thorough that if someone were to have exclusively watched the recaps of each episode only they would have 90% ... of the story.

Art and Animation: I have no real complaints with it, it is what i would call average, not terrible but not amazing. I would say it is appropriate for the show.

Characters: To me it feels like they tried to split Asahina Daigo (MC from the prequel) in half and have them as the 2 male leads, but it does not work as well.

Story: So far it looks to have a decently comprehensive and multifaceted story but it get completely ruined by pacing. Sometimes there are details that can be appreciated when it comes to the recuses however once again the most minor of details can end up with too much screen time. Lastly it's always commendable when an anime does not become a 1 man show and gave other characters a time to shine.

Overall I would not recommend the pacing ruins an otherwise interesting show.

It is pretty much saint seiya but worse in almost every way.

The cast of voice actors are quite good and the opening theme is actually very catchy but there is too many similarities to saint seiya in plot.

The colors are quite dull and the lip syncing is not very good.
The pacing is also not very consistent and almost felt like a "monster of the week" anime.
Despite being a relatively long anime it also felt as though much of it was rushed.

Like saint seiya it is based on mythology but in this case hindu/buddhism and personally I did not find it as interesting because ... of it, for example i don't think the vajra the main character uses is a cool weapon. It is also partially because my lack of knowledge of the mythology.
