I agree with Jigglypuff. He's completely wishy washy and so unmotivated that it's hard to follow him. There are PLENTY of anime that aren't "moeblobs" and the fact that, that genre gets to him so much is childish.

Go through episodes 1-4 of Lucky Star before [being] dropped [from direction].
Complain about how anime nowadays is all moe moe pandering and no longer targeted to the general public.
Tries to "fix" it by making his own anime.
Nobody cares about it.
Quits anime.
Comes back to anime because of a Ghibli film.
This guy reminds me of western anime fans. Mostly anime clubbers.

Don't understand all this praise for Fractale, it had one of the most bullshit endings ever. It was absolutely nuts.
