BL/Yaoi/Shounen Ai manga are fiction but some hit too close to home for how realistic the situation, environment, and/or characters they have. Because of this, they tend to be on the mature side and tackles the situations that people in same sex relationships experiences in real life.

This stack collects BL manga which have longer stories or several stories about different characters in one universe, but can't be easily found because they're not in one entry. Instead, they're split in many sequels, spin-offs, side-stories, etc. The stack doesn't list all related series but only the first manga or the main manga. These manga are only one volume long, and do so much in such a concise format!
Some may have sequel manga, but the original story still works as a self contained, single volume. Good to buy as you can complete the series in one fell swoop, haha!
What I’ve learned from making this stack is there is a lot of one-volume long BL. Interesting!
I think a few of these were initially released as multiple volumes, but the later all-in-one version is more readily available!

Includes a variety of: High school/ classmates/ student x student/ senpai x kouhai BL.
･The majority of them are completed but some may be ongoing series.
･Manhwas and manhuas will be excluded since many are not in the database.
･Disclaimer: Multiple story mangas have many tags so at least one or more of the stories will fall into this category. >.<

Lesser known manga that I think more people should read.

Are you tired of starting a BL story, super excited and than a f*cking r*pe/sexual assault happens for no reason? and after that, like it was nothing, a relationship begins? like wtf?
(i'm not against the representation r*pe/sexual assault per se, since it does happens in real life, but i'm DEFINITELY against the romanticization of those things in general, and especially in BL, since many stories portrays as something "normal" or even *trying not to throw up* "romantic". these are serious topics and should receive proper treatment when showed on media. this is especially sad considering the stigma that gay man/queer people have of been predators).
I'm also tired!
Unfortunately, i had to find these cute, healthy stories the hard way: trial and error.
so here are some of the BLs that i've enjoyed, some are fluffy and cute, some have a little spice (erotica) but always in a healthy, consensual way. ^^

very much based on my personal tastes, everything here has a larger story and plot, as well as depth of character. some may have romance and smut. most are rather dark.
