Manga: Gokushufudou
They both are the daily lives of past delinquents/yakuza. One loves his wife very much and the othe loves his son AND his wife very much. Both are really cute and fluffy. Chichi to ko has a typical shoujo art style while Gokushufudou has a darker, more seinen art style.

Both about single fathers raising their child, but in Hige-Gorilla the uncle is there to help and in Chichi to Ko he only has himself most of the time.

Manga: Amaama to Inazuma
A wonderful comedy with a single parent raising their only child. Amaama has more of those 'tug at your heart' moments, but both are full of humor and sure to put a smile on your face.
