SynopsisSpirits known as kamui are thrown into chaos when the sacred spirit
Okikurumi is taken from Atsuma's village, and the imbalance threatens to destroy Earth. Infused with the spirit of an ancient sword, Atsuma must leave his village to reclaim Okikurumi.
He encounters NOA, an organization of youths who wield the power of the kamui, and who may hold the key to Okikurumi. Atsuma is recruited into NOA by Sumire, a young woman with an empty soul who yearns for a miracle. Atsuma and his new companions must work together to find Okikurumi before the world is destroyed. The characters were good and I was constantly striving to find out what will happen next. Although the manga focuses on destruction, it also shows the bonds that can't be destroyed.
There are unexpected points and the story is good, unfortunately it did become a bit of drag near the end, and I was asking myself why is this still happening, isn't it going to end soon?

In both, the main guy is a cold serious teenager who has a huge power inside him. Both Kamui and Atsuma are also very psychically similar. In both the main guy, tries to stop the destruction of the world. Also, in these mangas the most powerful thing there is known as "kamui" and there are a group of people with powers. The main guy slowly starts to open his heart to his friends and stops avoiding them.
Both are shoujo/josei action thrillers, with supernatural themes, and heroes that are appointed to fulfill or prevent a terrible destiny. The storytelling style feels very similar, and the main characters are practically identical. Have lots of blood and violent moments. (Though X is more gory, it has a richer story.) Art is similar.

They share many of the same themes, have a similar art style, and lots of bishonen. The settings are different (Victorian England vs. fantasy sci-fi) but the vibes are very similar.
