A realistic, snarky girl is thrust into the world of an over-the-top club of boys in her school. These are lighthearted shoujo series that are similar in both premise and sense of humor and fun.

Both mangas have a girl who's expressionless and hot-blooded male who thinks of female lead as a rival and then love interest :)

- they both have main characters, who are very confident, both in their personality and there skills. - both main characters are actually left handet. especially when they use there special skills. - they both have a lazy father, who train the main characters to improve there skills. - Both fathers were professional, but they gave up on their dreams, due to some unknown sercomstances ( sorry, don't know if I misspelled it ) - they both have a team, who compete against other teams. - both main characters, have a cat, as they both love very much.

To Be is more focused on romance, whereas Beauty Pop is focused more on the beauty aspect... but these both share the plot of students striving in a hairstyling world. I think if you like one, you will definitely like the other.

Beauty Pop and Kitchen no Ohime-sama are two very popular shojo manga. I personally love them both, and they have a lot in common. For example, the girl protagonists are both specialists in something {Beauty Pop- Hair Cutting; Kitchen no Ohime-sama- Cooking). There is also romance between the protagonist's friends.
reportRecommended by AnimeloverYori
They're both about fashion! Ageha is about makeup while Beauty Pop is about hairstyles ^^ i strongly recommend both!
reportRecommended by shrioxhana
The female main character cuts the male main characters hair. In both series the boys, dont trust women and afraid that women will hurt but both boys find something special in both female leads. Both are nice shojo reads.
reportRecommended by cjwalker
Has the same sweet romance and very nice girl who thinks about others
reportRecommended by surfing59
Both the main characters don't show their feelings, they're misunderstood by people (ex: Kiri is actually really good at cutting hair, while Maria has no bad intenions and just wants friends.) They are also both looked down on by people. They are also both love triangles. In both stories, one of the guys dislike the girl, but soon comes to like her, while the other guy has always been friendly to her. Both guys are also best friends in both mangas. Both the girls have also done something wrong to their mom when they were kids.
reportRecommended by xyne199
Both on about changing hair styles (Beauty Pop does make up and others aswell tho) to make the person into another person... They both need to have a reason for the stylist to give them a hair cut...... they both have beautiful love stories :D
reportRecommended by special-secret
both revolve around hairstyling and dreams
reportRecommended by Shiharu
They're both about a talented girl, though Kiri (BP - hairstyling) is more aloof and Ageha (VBR - designing bags, etc.) is more energetic. I like the art in both. I also find the male (Narumi in BP, Arisaka in VBR) lead in both quite hilarious. I think if you like one, you'll like the other. =3
reportRecommended by moonBlossom
The storyline isn't similar at all but the main characters both have very interesting and unique personalities.
reportRecommended by horsecraziecutie
Talented girl. Weird in someways. I dunno they're both just awesome!
reportRecommended by Sunbloom
The female lead is very calm and does not overreacts
reportRecommended by Rebekira
Same concept. Helping people but by cooking instead of make overs.
reportRecommended by CheekyPanda
Reverse Harem type Both have a girl who wants to become really good at what she does Both have a guy that is mean to the protagonist at the beginning but ends up in a good relationship with her Both have a love triangle thingy
reportRecommended by Inuzukies
Beauty Pop - heavily focuses on hair (and other beauty aspects) and not super romance heavy Aitsu to Kanojo to Mahou no Te - Beautician (includes hair) and more romance heavy. Characters are also older and in college.
reportRecommended by mc3929
Erina in Shokugeki and Narumi in Beauty Pop, both are heir of a rich family. Souma in Shokugeki and Kiri in Beauty Pop, both are son/daughter of famous chef/hairstylist father who runs a small shop. Relationship of Erina x Souma and Narumi x Kiri is quite similar.
reportRecommended by SocialOutcast
Both series have characters skilled in fashion giving make-overs to others while appreciating individual beauties and without being restricted by social standards.

While Kaikan Styling isn't nearly as entertaining as Beauty Pop, it is similar in its basic theme of beautifying girls. Both manga consist of a group of stylists bent on making girls happier and more confident about themselves. While not everyone may like Kaikan Styling, Beauty Pop is a must read!

An expressionless but charming girl befriends or, in BP, teases a guy who isn't good with girls. Eventually, the guy warms up to the girl. They are both really cute :)
reportRecommended by PotakuCat
Both manga theme include people who make other beautiful
reportRecommended by strandsi
the female protogainists very funny in some cases and have other similarities like the nonchalantness.
reportRecommended by grenaderbombs
They both focus somewhat on beauticians. There is lots of contests and some rivalry. Both of them feel quite similar and focus on achieving life long dreams.
reportRecommended by byebunny7
1. Both characters have a hard time expressing themselves. 2. Both characters have a hidden talent. 3. Both characters try to hide their identities when using said talent. 4. Both characters end up having a rival that is a potential love interest. Buddy Go! is a very good read, with enough heart fluttering moments to keep you on the edge of your seat! So, if you liked Beauty Pop, there is a chance you will like Buddy Go! as well!

Similar characters and feeling. Kiri is a very similar character to Shizuku in that both of them are 'emotionless' but they are really good at what they do. Yamaken is a very similar character to Narumi in their attitudes towards the main girl. They also wonder why they like the girl in the first place, because she isn't all that cute. The main girl is oblivious to their feelings. There is also some family drama, and the mother of the main girl is away from home working in both cases.
reportRecommended by MeNaK
Both about revealing people's personalities through hairstyle and making people happier, but Beauty Pop is more shoujo and slice-of-life, and Sambong Barbershop has adventure and fantasy themes and is more mature at the same time
reportRecommended by Terako-chan
Main character girls one abot clothes one makeup but more or less both about fasion
reportRecommended by icye-kiss
Both girls are kind at heart. Both boys are rough around the edges. Fruits basket is about a family curse and not so much about competitions or making others pretty. Their storylines are different, but still they will remind you of each other.
reportRecommended by animefreak8889
story-wise both of these are very different. Beauty pop is about a girl named kiri getting involved with the "Sp", scissors project. Whereas Beast Master is about a girl who meets a beast-like boy and isn't frightened by his looks and gets to know him. Even if both of these stories are way different you get the same feeling while reading them and they are both very light-hearted and sweet mangas. There's a bit of romance in Beauty pop but if you want more of a cute and innocent love story I'd suggest Beast Master =)
reportRecommended by s2impasse
Both of them are about a girl who is fairly ordinary surrounded by a group of guys who try to form a club and accomplish something. They both also have love triangles and are really cute!!!
reportRecommended by lujsy
Both are set in a school, where a group of people are admired by the majority of the school's pupils. The females leads become somehow involved with these people.
reportRecommended by Foraii
Group of guys that make girls cute.
reportRecommended by a_i_r_e
Beauty Pop is a much stronger title, but both of these manga are about a special group of people dedicated to making others beautiful.
reportRecommended by Anomalous
While Beauty Pop and Kimi wa Girlfriend have a different plot all around, both series center around a club in school that is centered around beautifying the Maidens of the school (and the main leads don't look so bad with scissors in their hands either!)
reportRecommended by Aarana
Shoujo story lines and cute art with a somewhat clueless lead female. Both have reverse harem qualties.
reportRecommended by KawaiiObsessive
Both involve a couple that don't get along at the start but later have feelings for each other. beauty pop is more focused on hairstyling rather than romance but has romance later on.both manga are really cute and soo funny :D Lovely Complex:comedy, romance, shoujo Beauty Pop:comedy, romance, shoujo, slice of life both of these mangas are awesome and are two of my favorite mangas that i've read i think that if you like one you will like the other :)
reportRecommended by hunnysenpai
Both are shoujo romances about hairstyling. Also, Narumi(BP) and Nii(KT) have similar personalities. Beauty Pop is much stronger title but if you liked one of this you'll probably like the other.
reportRecommended by isarf
The girls personalities are the same. Girls are surrounded by hot guys..
reportRecommended by ShoujoCrisis
Both deal with fashion, although this one is more real life-like, you will laugh while reading both of them, but Gokinjo will make you belevie that it is real life, while Beauty pop is just nice fairy tale.
reportRecommended by lilika
The characters personalities are almost exactly the same (later on in sukitte ii na yo) but sukitte ii na yo has smut
reportRecommended by kiki314
Both stories are about make-overs and finding love.
reportRecommended by brownie1321
Hana Adachi gets people together regardless of whether they like each other or not, and Shinagawa Daichi likes a girl who he does not realize is Hana Adachi. In Beauty Pop, the same thing happens, and it is also entertaining to read. May not be up the level of this manga, but yo'll probably like it.
reportRecommended by Yasmin212
The relationship between the two characters are similar: an indifferent girl and a popular guy with a strong personality.
reportRecommended by beckaleck
There also both about a group of people trying to achieve something together.
reportRecommended by DerpU
both about cutting hair
reportRecommended by yukifanatic
Both series have the intention to become more beautiful. Also, they both have "uncute" heroines that help other people with their problems.
reportRecommended by Pyapi
The story is completely different, but in both mangas, there are three guys who forms an unofficial 'club' of their own (Secret Society and Scissors Project) The female lead in Gakuen Onmitsu Torimono is a client, while in Beauty Pop, its a rival beautician.
