A dark desire disturbs the sanctity of the heart. The color of it cannot be recognized and its quench cannot be satisfied. What it yearns for, it cannot have. The sole pleasure that fuels its beat drowns slowly in its own drum; and something far more devastating blooms from these buds of desire. Some may call it wrong. Some may even call it evil – but it’s disguise is far more illusory. The petals soaked with taboo, the stem etched with sin; the flower that arises from the crevices of this heart can be nothing but a flower of “evil”, or in more colloquial terms, read more

It's a rather short manhwa so I'll keep this review short to avoid spoiling you.

So before I read this manhwa I had been reading Aku no Hana for a while and had come to the conclusion that it was the most twisted psychological romance in the "school" genre alongside Masturbation Master Kurosawa. But then I recently stumbled upon this story full of sunshine and changed my mind right away.

It's a tale of twin brother/sister that are seemingly inseparable from each other. That being said, even with incestuous themes at the core of the story, it avoids all the pandering nonsense that often read more

There are probably tons of people who've read this manga and surely all of them has a different interpretation of it's story and ending.

In my opinion, this manga is a conversation between our two main characters, Se-Wa and Se-Joon.
In the beggining, we hear the story of a man, who was loved by all, but could not love anyone, until he met this girl. Even though the girls loves him too, she cannot won't leave her husband for him, and thus he will be alone in despair and grief for the rest of his life.
The storyteller asks the main question of our story, which it builds read more

This is my first review.

Flower of evil truly digs into the heart of the characters as a person and brings out what most people try to conceal. I was hesitant to read at first because of the drama, which is a red light for me, but seeing the high reviews made me want to try. It was simply too amazing.

The story was made of originality with only one cliche; the brother sister love that was forbidden. Though the end may be surprising for most-as in every one. It was a huge twist I did not excpect in the least! It will all seem like a read more

Manga: Hana wa Knife wo Mi ni Matou
Both Manga's have the same DEEP love for another person, to a point that they start going/and or do some crazy things just to be with them.
reportRecommended by huruki
Manga: Let Dai
Both are manhwa dramas that try to realistically examine a "forbidden" love, without getting into anything really explicit. Some intense scenes, and tragedy. Let Dai is about a gay relationship, Flower about incest.

Manga: Oujitachi wa Izonsuru
Both have the incest theme and the characters turn out to be a surprise.
reportRecommended by Valentiln
Manga: Sora wo Daite Oyasumi
both portray forbidden love between twins and the sly but frantic attitude of the one aware of his feelings first

Manga: Koi Kaze
Also incest theme done in mature psychological way. 'Koi Kaze' is more slice of life, 'Flower of Evil' is more dark and heavy. Both are very good.

Manga: Real Purple
They are both manhwas about a relationship between siblings, although in real purple they are not blood related. They both have a similar dark feeling and they both deal with death, overall they are both about a relationship that is doomed from the start.
