Preliminary Spoiler
Mar 29, 2011
The reason why I scored this manga so low was because it is a lolicon....but I didn't know that until I read it. Unless you like lolicon don't go by my word because I'm biased from the start.

Story: (2) I disliked what was happening to that poor little girl.
Art: (8) The art is good. Nothing special but it isn't terrible.
Character: (3) I was screaming at the main guy character WAIT TEN YEARS the whole time and he didn't listen. I bet his morals differ from mine...
Enjoyment: (1) I did not enjoy the "love" between the main characters or the story...
Overall: (4) I ...

Preliminary (5/24 chp)
i dont often rate so low (5 is my usual low rating when i didnt enjoy something) but its made me want to write a review simply to put this one into the 'big red flashing warning sign' category for others interested. It's one of those ones where you tip toe into the plot with a big psychological shield.

The review above very accurate and says everything, so i ll keep it short. This is nothing short of child abuse, or at least from what i read. I can understand a young girl falling in love with an older man and i dont mind it ...

When I was younger and I didn't know what hentai or lolicon was, I thought this was super lit. Now I'm older and I was completely appalled.

It wasn't just the lolicon, (if you're into that, I guess) but it's the abuse, the manipulation and the pure disgust that I draw from like, all of the characters.

Shiren: Massive pedophile, but that's not his biggest problem. He constantly abuses Shinju, both sexually and mentally. He calls her a mannequinn, literally just because he's a jerk. Not to mention, not throughout the whole story, he never once tells her how he truly feels, which is pedophilia, but ...

Rarely does manga invoke strong human feelings of empathy. But when it does, it shows the ability of the author and illustrator to construct a work which undermines conventions.

The plot is dark and disturbing - but it is done extraordinarily well. Centred around acts of child exploitation, the manga appeals to its readers with every page...whether a message against child abuse or just the author's demented fantasies, I do not know.

What I do believe, and will stand by, is that low scores aren't justified for this manga. For those who feel sorry for the characters, for those who hated the plot - I believe ...
