Safe Again Today is one of the few manhwas i have enjoyed so far. The story revolves around a unique and interesting group of individuals, the human-bodied aliens and their human "manager" Sera. At first, I thought the story would focus on how the protagonists would manage to be "safe again today", that is, conquering every endeavor and keep their identities secret. But the story seemed to bend towards character development. Having said that, the manhwa is character-driven as every chapter presents a growth in both personal and social aspect of the interplanetary visitors (although not all) The manhwa is comprised of 14 chapters (each

with 20 to 35 pages), too short to hold a plot that possesses a lot of possibilities. It provides a glimpse of the characters' past life but does not completely unveil the whole story. it leaves the reader imagining so as to compensate for their unanswered questions.
Most of the problems weren't completely resolved, although they made it look like it seemed to be. The reader would notice the aliens' longing for their home and it was quite heart-breaking that they appeared contented when the truth is they are tormented by a past they can never compensate for. The aliens showed an unconditional love for their home planet; that no matter how much hurt the people inflicted on them, they would always accept and want to turn back to the place they were. There were parts that had me confused but i found myself a past time by pronouncing the alien places and names.
The mix of the alien characters seem to have a weird chemistry interesting enought to hold the reader. I liked how they were portrayed in the manhwa, although i did not have the chance to see their real alien forms (which is a disappointment T^T). Their human appearances seemed to justify for their personalities. They had special abilities, although not really conspicuous and used in the story. Sera, on the other hand, is actually the real protagonist in the story, but the aliens seemed to pale her role. She's unjustifiably kind! there was not a single phase in the story that she deviated from the calm, giving person she is. The last chapters hinted on her love interest, which i think could have worked if the manhwa was longer. Her love interest enters the story as a fiend, but bended (i think?). It was mentioned that he had a past lover who, for some reason, he sarcastically says could have been better dead. His side story would have been great as well.
My bliss was short-lived as the manhwa ended suddenly. And I seriously wanted more! D:
