Manga: Brave 10
Actually is nothing similar about it, except some good fights and the fact that they are both inspired from history. I made it into a recommendation because in both you can see different kinds of versions of Sanada Yukimura and his loyal friends/subordinates. I definitely enjoyed them both

Manga: InuYasha
Both involve a lot of fighting and battling with swords. The romance between the two main characters is also slow-developing but a very sweet story, but the main heroine reminds the hero of a past lover. They're both great reads, though Samurai Deeper Kyo has better art in my opinion.

Samurai deeper kyo and code breaker are from same artist you can feel the style even though the stories are from different era.

Manga: GetBackers
These two series can be considered "brother" series. They were both serialized around the same time, both ended around the same time and therefore had nearly the same number of volumes. Both series have similar artwork and deal with a group of strong fighters with unique abilities dealing with the nightmares of their past. Getbackers is slightly less serious than SDK.

Manga: Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Kenkaku Romantan
Both are about a great samurai who has a tragic past and this samurai meets an attractive young girl and they have life threatening hurdles to overcome. Along the way they pick up a variety of friends and enemies. The time setting is about (roughly) the same too, Feudal Japan. Both have excellent fighting scenes too, but Kyo´s fights are (in my opinion) better as Kenshin is peace loving and does not kill, while Kyo and his gang are much more sadistic and fights normally always end with someone being sliced in half or decapitated. But if you liked kenshin, you should like Kyo  read more

Manga: Akusaga
Both showcase a silent and potentially evil protagonist. Both focus on empowering the various characters. Samurai Deeper Kyo offers more comic relief. (needs 6 chapters to kick in) Akusaga is a short story. (needs 2 chapters to kick in)

Manga: Trigun
Vash and Kyo are fairly similar individuals. Both have powerful sides, while their outward sides are peaceful (albeit perverted) goofballs. They even preach "LOVE AND PEACE!" Also, both have girls who initially follow them due to the ludicrous bounty on their head, but gradually come to care for them. Keep in mind Trigun is the more peaceful episodic part while Maximum is the "serious business" continuation.

Manga: Dragon Ball
It may sound weird but these series are quite similar (in my opinion). Basically in both series you fight more and more stronger enemies and/or organisation. The fight and both of these are really good with awersome super powers. SDK has a better plot but if you liked dragon ball and you wanna read something with the same level of action but for a older audience then check out SDK, its awesome.

Manga: Vinland Saga
Both these are stories historically related with reference to their respective time and countries. It is quite similar in the fact both start off with a character bent on revenge. If you enjoy manga with a bit of history, both these are the perfect choice.

Both of these manga contains supernatural fighting with powerful weapons. They also involve the protagonist who also has a look alike, the plot is similar in which characters of the manga worked under a kingdom but soon after decide to journey and destroy the kingdom.

Manga: Wolf Guy: Ookami no Monshou
the main character are both the cool lonely type. both manga contain much violence and a bit of ecchi. although the story line are quite different, one about werewolves in modern times and the other about samurai in the historical times, the protagonist and their partners are totally similar, yuya is alot like aoshika and kyo alot like inugami. for those who enjoyed SDK, wouldn't you give this manga a try? =D if you are looking for intense romance, both mangas might not be for you, since its more to the action seinen side!

Manga: Gamaran
Both manga revolve around traditional Japanese history, mostly to do with samurais and both main characters striving to be the strongest. Both series focus heavily on deep bonds of friendship and how these bonds help them move on throughout the series. Gamaran is more straight forward shounen with one goal right from the start, whereas Samurai Deeper Kyo is more complex, involving the connecting of mysteries to unravel the ultimate truth. Samurai Deeper Kyo also has more of a gender balance, and requires about 10 chapters of reading into the story to actually kick off however.

Manga: Togari
Togari is similar in that its bases is the same as Samurai Deeper Kyo. Overcoming an "wrongful" imprisonment. This manga has some really great scenes in it, the storyline flows smoothly, and the characters are believable.

Manga: The Silvery Crow
Both mangas are the work of Akimine Kamijyo. This being the successor to the famous Samurai Deeper Kyo manga. Both feature the same fantastic art style and the comedy moments (although, silvery crow seems to have a lot of those at the moment) as well as some well developed characters.

Both of the stories contain characters with two different persons/personalities in one body. When that is said, the stories themselves are quite different from each other.

Manga: Bleach
If you like bleach you will like this. Bleach is heavily inspired by Samurai deeper kyo. Sometimes it almost feels like bleach is copying Samurai Deeper Kyo. Alot of characters with swords and powers fighting with flashy techniques etc. But there is a big diffrence. Samurai Deeper kyo has more of a story and its more mature. And the main character is not the good guy but rather the bad guy. He dont spare peopoles life, he kills them and smile.

Manga: Bastard!! Ankoku no Hakaishin
They have a guy sealed in the body of another,to stop the person to make evil-doing.It's in both a before evil,anti-hero and a good guy.Kyo and DS also got unbeliable strong as the chapters passes,and have 4 people serving him as his personal army(in SDK the Shiseiten,in Bastard! the Shiten'ou).Also some characters are very similar like Akira and Kall-Su even in powers,and both characters have religious ligations.But I like Kall-Su much more than Akira.Oh,and both main charcter are part of a profecy.

Manga: JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken Part 3: Stardust Crusaders
If you're in the mood for enthusiastically MANLY fight scenes, mild fanservice, magical weaponry and badass characters saving the world from an evil immortal overlord, and you've *already* read JJBA, SDK is the manga for you. The art's a little softer than Jojo's, and the anime is frankly ridiculously bad, but Samurai Deeper Kyo the manga is an action-laden joy that I would happily recommend to seinen and older shounen fans everywhere.

Manga: Tenjou Tenge
I think the two mangas are quite similar. Both contain lots of bloody fights, more or less ecchi and the main characters look like bad guys at the first glance. And all the action is packed in very exciting storylines. (if you try samurai deeper kyo, you should read the manga. the anime sucks. they changed that much that it doesn't has too much in common with the manga anymore)
