Synopsis

The story is set in an alternate world with 20th century-like technology, during a great war between the alliance of the Grand Duchy (Russia that never formed) and the Empire (Poland-Lithuania that never fell into ruin) on one side, and the Republic (the Ottoman Empire that never fell apart) on the other.

Lieutenant Martina M. Mayakovskaya is a new officer in the Grand Duchy Logistics Corps. It's a branch of the armed forces responsible for transportation and supply that is looked down upon by the rest of the military as "paper soldiers". Martina's assignment is supposed to be a comfortable desk job dealing with stamping paperwork, but for some reason wherever she goes, she ends up in the middle of combat. Also, what's that eight-legged pseudoweasel that she adopted as a pet (or it adopted her?), and is it just a coincidence that it seems to be saving her from harm every time?

Interesting military manga, going deep into logistics of war through a curtain of comedy. Characters are well defined, although until this point it has not gone to the past of most characters (surprisingly, the most detailed background descriptions are those of the antagonists or secondary characters).

Half gag manga and half pure military story, it's a nice read if you liked the more "strategic" or "negotiation" side of Youjo Senki or Pumpkin Scissors.

A particular thing about this manga is that the author designs one military vehicle in each chapter, dedicating a full page to explaining it's capacities, pros and contras. The author is definitely ...

This is a great manga for anyone who has or is serving in the military, especially if your job deals in logistics.

the art is cartoonish but in a good way, don't expect to see berserk levels of detail here, the drawings are simple in comparison but they are also informative. the units and gear featured come with plenty of explainers about there purpose, construction, where there from, etc. some of the more famous/important pieces of equipment get a couple page backstory.

The story is where it's at, anyone who's dealt in Logistics or served in the military will be able to release. All the characters ...
