tl;dr: An interesting concept used well as a core element though with weak relationship progress seemingly as the other core element for better or worse.

This manga is an adaptation of a light novel series, though I haven't read the light novel yet so I will be judging it on its own merits. I find it an incredibly interesting concept in that it's sort of a deconstruction of the incredibly broad archetype of the standard hero saves heroine story, but the deconstruction type that isn't so much as to make fun of it as to try to use it in fun ways which I generally prefer ... far more.

The way the plot works is that the protagonist gets sucked into multiple stories at once, and thus ends up using elements of the different stories together in order to get through them in a novel way. The protagonist is a pretty average guy in terms of general ability, but seems to be pretty genre savvy and a quick thinker as the ways that they combine elements from different genres is quite interesting. As is generally the case when such differing stories combine, the end result is a giant mish mash of plot holes if you think about it too hard, but the narrative does a decent job of avoiding getting too close to them and story moves at a fast-enough pace that it's easy enough to ignore them.

In addition to plot, the other core pillar of the series is the heroines and their relationship with the protagonist. The heroines are all likable and cute, and the story does a good job setting them up and setting up how they fall in love with the protagonist, but that's where every relationship arc ends. The protagonist intentionally doesn't move beyond that, which is really bizarre as he's been told his indecisiveness will cause the end of the world, and the manga ends with all the heroines in that undefined state. Such an ending was lacking as incomplete indecisive endings generally are but entirely expected considering it's an adaptation of a much longer work and furthermore it wasn't frustrating as the manga hadn't really gone on long enough or spent enough time with any of the heroines for it to be so, and thus the ending didn't feel particularly satisfying or unsatisfying.

The art wasn't particularly amazing but was pretty solid. The characters in general looked pretty nice. The art style also made good use of the variety in plot for variety in designs.
