Let's start with a little plot outline. Ei is depressed because he ex dumps him on Christmas to get married. He returns home and sees a man covered in snow with a cat outside his apartment building. He takes pity on the cat, and the man as well :P, and takes them in and cares for them. The young man is Junpei and he and the cat Yakinori end up staying with Ei. Junpei refuses to fall in love again due to a past tragedy. Ei is really happy with Junpei and Yakinori until one day his ex returns. Jump past spoilers to the next

two volumes which deal with Ei and Junpei interactions with Sagan and Kitaka, two people who are its complicated ex? lovers.
Right! Now to the review! At first when I started reading this only the first volume was out and really it didn't distinguish itself for the mountains of other yaoi I read, so much so that I promptly forgot its name. The plot seems like many romantic plots pick up the stray->fall in love with the stray. But after reading from beginning to end, my opinion of this story changed. There is a lot of depth to the characters and after the ex is dealt with things get interesting! There are misunderstandings and these cause drama but unlike other plots these seem to help the plot rather then make you feel like you hit a roadblock on your way to happyville. I think the best part is how the feelings play out. Junpei is straight and unlike most yaoi he seems to develop feelings for Ei before Ei does for him (very rare in the gay/straight men pair up). The friends Sagan and Kitaka too provide the right amount of depth for side character don't fit into the category of the added in sideplot or the cartoonish friends. The side story doesn't feel too much and you could have another chapter just for them but you may not need it. Also the thing that got me about this story was the lesson learned. People make mistakes and it doesn't mean people are bad, they are just lonely or sad and longing for comfort and connection. Hope you like it too! (Didn't realize I wrote this much :D)
