Honoka ni Purple is about two teens who meet through their parents' marriage, and end up falling in love with each other. This trope has been done many, many times, and this manga being rather old, it's a very straightforward version of this trope. Furthermore, it's done in a very over-the-top soap opera-y way that seems to have been more the style at the time. You might end up enjoying this one in an ironic sort of way because the melodrama is so extreme I find it hard to take seriously. Otherwise though, the story is rather nonsense.
