Both main characters have some unhealthy obsessions. In "Rika" the main character likes looking at his younger sister undressing in morning. In "My Heart is Beating" the main character is obsessed with swimsuits.
Both obsessions are portrayed negatively and the main characters try to hide them from theit parents.
