Taking place in a school setting, both series are about a small cast of characters belonging to a group. And despite their different goals, they have some similarities when it comes to its characters. The main male protagonist have similar personalities and have difficultly making friends. This is still a school theme, besides that they also have something in common, namely the Harem genre. I don't really recommend because it deviates a bit from the Bokuben theme, but their club activities are very similar to Bokuben.

In both series, the main male protagonist gets involved in a club/group after certain events in the beginning of the story. There is a colorful cast of female characters present with a diverge range of personalities. Although their premises aren't alike, the story follows their daily misadventures at school and other places. Both series adapts lighthearted comedy with bits of romance that also becomes evident later on.
